DJ Nocker
OKAY, so my friend had a very very bad day today, alongside of several other things hapening which there are really to many to list, the biggest is she lost her wallet with 400$, her I.D., her social security card, gas card, credit card bla bla anything else that is in a wallet. so, I wanted to take her to city club to cheer her up...THIS WOULD BE MY FIRST TIME BACK TO CITY CLUB IN 6 MONTHS (if anyone cares)....oh yea anyways, in her wallet as I said, she lost her wallet. BUT, she has a Passport....and I was wondering if City Club will take that instead of an I.D. Anyone help me out with this question?
Shade Everdark
As I recall, as long as it's a current and valid passport, they will accept it.
DJ Nocker
Well I dont think its expired but its from when she was like 11.....think that will matter as long as its not expired (i think it may be after that long anyways but still answer question)
sass_in_the_pants
Passports are accepted as legal id in like 152 countries. If CC doesn't take it, they're a-holes. I used to get in with mine when I lost my d.l.
BrassFusion
problem is, cc ARE a-holes about all their policies. it clearly states at the door it must be a valid driver's license or state id. if it's got a current photo and it's up to date, MAYBE. let us know how it turns out

t1m3k1ll3r
It depends who is working, and what kind of mood they're in it seems. I seen a friend of mine, non-regular, get in with no ID at all, after pleading to the door person enough. I've also seen regulars well over 21 get denied because they they didn't have a proper ID. Good luck
EvilLilRedHead
as for a passport, as long as the photo is current it should be, a valid form of ID, but since its not a state ID or license its up to the venue if they want to except it. its actually illegal for an venue that sells alcohol to let you in without proper ID. no matter if your over 21 or older and they know you, No ID, No Entry. pigs did a sting a few yrs back and went to alot of local clubs, watching to see if whoever was working the door made everyone show an ID & and some cases the cops were carding the patrons. if anyone didnt have there id on them & they were already in the club, the venue got fined and were even shut down, and i think one actually lost their liquor license. so thats one of the main reasons and club can be dicks.... there just following procedure so they dont get busted. odims_sphere
I get in with a millitary ID which i understand is not a passport, but it's also not a state ID, or drivers license as their policy states either. But I'd have to agree that it's really up to the temperment of the door person that night. Good luck though!
hunhee
How old is your friend? I'm only saying this because passports are only good for 10 years as an adult and if she got it when she was 11 and she's now like 21 or older..chances are that passport is no longer valid.. Also, underage passports are only good for like 6 or 7 years... I found that out when I went to check my passport to go to Mexico, mine was no longer valid, and I thought it would be good till i was 27 and I remembered that I got the passport when I was 17, and it needed to be renewed a few years prior due to having a youth passport. They will let you in with a valid passport, I got in before with mine, when I lost my driver's license, but mine was still current at the time. DarkChylde
I've known many who got inside using there passports before. Im sure your friend would be ok.
Hellion
They would have to accept a passport that is legit,if they don't that would be BS.I don't see any problem with that at all in the first place.
Troy Spiral (13)
I've gotten in at least twice with no ID at all. Not that that is relevant. I'm sure even if they decide to be sort of reluctant about it, a decent explination of why the passport and no other ID would be ok.

Destroit
Personally, I think there's gotta be a way to get ahold of the CC people even when it's not Friday or Saturday night. There's gotta be some kinda phone number you could call to ask...have you checked www.lelandcityclub.com? I know they have a contact section, maybe you should see if they have their number listed. Chains can be used as a weapon. Cell phones are now allowed. No cameras is probably due to some poeple may NOT want their pic taken. Easy to understand. Cell phones are now allowed, even the ones with cameras. Chains seem to be accepted to a point. I have small colored ones that I would have attached to my wallet but they aren't long enough to get around someone's neck so that could be why. Or it could be because most everyone knows me at the club.
Scary Guy
The spikes/chains thing really depends on if they like you or not.
DarkRacer
As of Jan '07, we changed the policy to allow in cell phones, cameras are still not allowed, due to legal issues, spikes are allowed as long as they are soft and flexible. Chains are allowed also, but don't bring one of those huge 3" links bastards, lookin like it came straight for cerberus's leash, or cujo's at least. But going back to the spike issue, its really up to the determination of the door bouncer, but its open for debate, just ask for me[Chris] or the head of Security{Bill}. But now we have more help we should be able to allow more items in the club. But whips are still out, handcuffs are ok as long as you have the key, but if you lose it, I always have mine on me. Nienna
I used to look nothing like my old ID and they would give me crap and not let me in so I started using my passport and it was fine. They are required by law to accept it BTW.

What if the spikes are on a pair of boots?? I have 6 spikes, 3 front and 3 rear on my boots. Would those be allowed or not? Would like to be able to wear them and don't really want to remove them if possible but I also don't want to push the rules and cause a problem. The spikes are 1/2in or less in size. I would allow it, because they're not all huge and shit. I guess it would it help if I was up their earlier in the night so these problems can be taken care of.
