I'm Quitting Smoking!

Recommended Posts

Good job! Keep it up!

Isn't air wonderful??

god yes, now i can actually smell all the pollution.. the exhaust fumes, and shit if someone else lights up a cigarette.. i can smell it a mile away!!

The cravings oddly, have not even calmed down any. Cutting down actually has prooved to be a mental manipulation only, now i'm back to the stress of just quitting cold turkey every day. but ya know what... i'm managing. this aggrivation and frustration since it's with me 24/7 i've actually put to advantage. I'm in a skull cracking mood 24/7 and anyone that gives me shit gets a pissed off me they gotta deal with. It's actually been a really good tool to help me stubbornly stand my ground against some things and not afraid to be a prick about it if someone don't stop trying to walk over me.

It's good that your in the process of quitting. Just don't let yourself hold onto any tobacco products, and don't go after chicks if you know they smoke, those two things dragged me back into addiction for awhile until I regained composure.

I wish I wouldn't of ever took it up, because I thought I had the willpower and intellect to stay away from them. But smoking is animistic, and from my POV quitting kind of has to be the same. It requires a very reinforced mental attitude to say no and be done with it. Very hard for a lot of people because they use it as a tremendous coping resource.

I have multiple people I need to get to quit who are worse off then me though, so that's what mainly keeps me away from it.

I feel ya, man... I have been smoking for eleven years and have been only having a 3 month quit; but I was using the nic gum, you might wanna try it. It will help you taper off a bit. It is something that is hard to do cold turkey. Try the gum or patches, it may be more expensive, than a pack of smokes alone, but it will sure save you from going nuts. I also heard of some herbs, too; and hypmotism. If you quit for a while and fall of the band wagon don't beat yourself up....
