I'm Thinking About Dying My Hair

Recommended Posts

I have pics of my current 'do, finally flatironed and I'm REALLY liking it. I have posted some pics of it in this thread. And here's one of them:

hair4.jpg

For years, I've wanted to do a radical dye job on it, but never had the nerve. The most I've ever done was dyed the underlayer vermillion red with semi-perm Punky Color.

I have some business BS to finish up this month, stuff for which I need to maintain a relatively "normal" appearance. But when it's done, I think I'd like to go through with the dye job.

I'm wanting to go a full-on mix of black and radical reds. Permanent colors.

But I'm trying not to chicken-out again. I've always liked my blonde, and still do. But I'm starving for something really excessively different.

Thoughts? Would I be making a mistake?

well you look maaahhhvelous in this picture.

I think you should use colours that compliment your look.

Whichever those would be,

Im not a hairstylist,

so I haven't the foggiest clue as to what to suggest.

However,

I think that as long as you can look in the mirror and be satisfied with the results,

then thats all that really matters.

alright you asked so here goes two purple streaks in the front one on each side then randomly take 1/2" streaks of hair go from a dark blue at the top of the streak somewhere in the middle fade it to a lighter blue then at the tip of the streak do turqoise so you will have this crazy blue effect blonde and purple !

LOL

You don't know me very well. :D

I wear red & black so much I'm beyond cliche'.

The blue idea is very cool, but I've always yearned for the balls to go with my favorite color scheme.

I might, however, take your idea and go with a black-to-dark red-to lighter red approach.

I think I'll probably consult a stylist for this one...

I'm with Brenda on this, that would look uber cool, but then again the fading idea was also really clever and would probably look really badass and original kinda. I do think any red and black however you want to do it would do the trick...so knock yerself out!

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
