Troy Spiral (13)
Thanks to everyone that takes the time to welcome the new people. When someone first shows up on a board, many are not sure how they will be received and are reluctant. It helps greatly if people get the impression we are friendly/welcoming. Really its much appreciated. If you'd like to help even more: If you go to the top right of the board and click on "Members" then choose "New Person" from the drop-down box (it says "All Members" by default) then click "go" you will get a list of all the "new people" That is, people that have less than 5 posts. Typically these are folk that at least have some interest in DGN but for whatever reason never felt motivated enough to stick around or to actually post much (if at all) often PMing these people with a welcome is helpful since they may not even be AWARE of the "introductions" section, and even if they are they may never check it. THEN after they reply to your PM (and you know they are alive), make a welcome post for them. After a day or so if they have not repleid to it send them another pm with a link to it. Usually it does the trick. Just a suggestion. I do it myself but I'm involved in so many other things i often don't have time. But even if i do, more than 1 welcome is always nice.
