no need, if i wanted to be an asshole about things, the mods would have already been jumping in my shit. I'm respecting everyone's opinion. But it's still surprising to me that everyone thinks that "having a kid" will make a person mature quicky... when i've seen the sad reality of it all where most the time it doesnt, it just gets that kid neglected. And yeah, this is a pretty big deal, because we're talking about a human life that has only just begun.. and it's already got a dumptruck load of shit on it from life by being born into no family at all practicly.

I won't ever try having kids unless I actually have found a decent match of a girl who's worth a damn, and a decent job that actually provides stability and job security where I know i can give that kid what it needs to have a good chance at succeeding in life. If i can't find these things, then fuck it, no kids for the gov't to exploit from me.

as for having a kid making one mature, it can, and has, in some of my personal experiences. we just had this discussion, in a way, in another thread - just because one person's experiences are one way, doesn't mean that it *must* turn out that way...

My kids turned out great.....anyone who knows can vouche for that. Its how you raise them....and I would never turn my back on them.
