Due to the gentle "nudge" e-mail I recently received, I present an intro post...sort of lol.

Hex's intro. Archived and revived!

Quote Of Original Post

Greetings!

I stumbled across this site today when I did a search on the EZboard page (I searched the word, Detroit). I've been perusing the topics here and decided to introduce myself.

I'm 27 and the mother of a wonderfully bright 4 yr old boy. I'm an artist (of sorts), a poet, rabid RPG'r (computer and "old school"), I adore paintball (my marker is a Spyder SE and 24hr Scenario games are my passion), I have a tendency towards eccentric looks and style, I frequently write essays and/or rants on various subjects (for no good reason), I’m into paranormal research/investigation, I have always been fascinated by vampyres, I have a peculiar and long standing attraction to dragons, I'm overly opinionated, unflinchingly honest, and a bit crude. I fluctuate from being an incredibly social being to a complete loner.

I've been interested in the occult, mysticism, and "alternative" spirituality since I was rather young and I've been active in my "path" (for lack of a better word) for about 15 years now. I am an Occultist, Mage, & Suitheist.

My musical tastes are very electic (rock-a-billy, punk, ska, a FEW country songs/artists, metal, darkwave, industrial, folk, religious, traditional, etc...), athough a few bands remain near and dear to my heart: The Cruxshadows, Clan of Xymox, Concrete Blonde, Pink Floyd, Voltaire, Seraphim Shock, Tiamat, Lucyfire, Bad Religion, Type O Negative, Switchblade Symphony, Lacuna Coil, Chaos Opera, White Zombie/Rob Zombie, Howling Syn, & Rotation (my lil bro's band).

I have been called peculiar, odd, strange, eccentric, weird, bizarre, & freaky, which suits me just fine and appeals to my artist aspect. Although I don't consider myself "goth", I find enough interests in common with the various ideals that I often enjoy the company of other "eccentrics" lol.

Well, I really suck and intros, so I'll end this now hehe. Looking forward to getting to know y'all and enjoying my time here already.

Above is a link to my original intro posting on the old DGN board lol. Not much has changed excepting being a year older, probably not wiser, and still a hellacious lurker. Then again, only having internet access at work might have a lot to do with the whole perma-lurk thing as well. :fear:

Regardless, I do enjoy reading the boards and will try to steal some time from my barrista duties to jump in the mix every so often. Catch y'all later!

Howdy. I added a quoted version of that intro post just so the lazy people can read it right in your post.

I'd guess that theres probably a grand total of about hrmm... 1% or less of the posters that would consider themselves "actual goths". Most people here are "interested in" gothy-ish stuff on occasion is probably a simple way to describe it.

Your in like-minded company with the rest of us here judging from your intro post.

Hopefully we can talk you in to showing up more often. =)

Your intro post was great , very detailed. You definitly dont "suck" at writing intro posts.

Even though you answered 90% of this stuff already im duty bound to spam you with this:

*drum roll*
