Things Dreams Are Made Of

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this is a repeat. i looked for a dreams thread but could only find a DGN-Dreams thread.

So i had a dream...

I was in the house i grew up in and in one of the back rooms there were two light switches on the wall. one controlled the regular old light. the other controlled a section of the floor that wasnt really floor. when the switch was off, it seemed to be a regular floor, but when i turned the switch on this vortex would open up, the floor in this one area in the middle of the room would start to swirl and anyone standing there was sucked down into it. they would end up at the bottom of an old stone well, very very very very deep, so deep you couldnt even see the bottom. so i spent the entire dream going out and finding people i didnt like, making an excuse to get them back to my house, then flipping the switch so they were sucked down into the well. every person i sent into the vortex made it stronger so at the end of the dream i could barely get past the spinning vortex area of the floor to turn the switch on/off but i couldnt stop myself, i just kept putting more and more people down the well.... i woke up as i was luring my buddy's new girlfriend towards the room....

anyone else wanna share funny/amusing dreams? i have several more ill most likely be posting. i have the most entertaining dreams....

Tons.

I have had recurring dreams throughout my life based in a huge, dangerous, abandoned mansion, usually accessible to me through the upstairs of my grandparents house, the latest one I had was last night. It's so vivid to me now I actually wrote a song based around it, "Château Des Rêves" at www.myspace.com/artificialandlethal

The closest I've ever been to lucid dreaming is having series of dreams where I thought they were real and I had the ability to fly, but I'm not sure how much control I actually had so I wouldn't necessarily call 'em lucid.

i seriously can go for like months and not remember any dreams and now this week they're all flooding in at once!

Last night i was a big like 3' tall teddy bear. and i could talk and move but i didnt want people to know so i never did it. somehow (details fuzzy) i ended up at a garage sale and this creepy older guy comes up and buys me. then he takes me home and starts trying to make me talk. somehow he knows i can! but i still dont move or do anything, and he gets out one of those things for ripping seams out of clothing and starts to detach my arm... and threatening to take out all my stuffing and replace it with old soggy newspapers (i have no idea why) and then i start to try to get away from him... i run but its hard to run on stubby little teddy bear legs and hes screaming 'i knew it i knew it!!' and coming after me.... i was locking myself in a toy chest (which came out of nowhere) when i woke up.....

I've had flying dreams, I'm not very good at it. I feel like that guy from "Great American Hero" remember that blonde goofball that lost his instructions to his power suit, so he sorta muddled his way through everything. That's me and flying in my dreams. Not very graceful-like. *shrugs*

I used to have more dreams when I was a kid. Some of my dreams would actually come true. I don't consider this anything psychic, just that our minds are constantly going, and put forth several scenerios, some of them are bound to be right.

Man, crazzed you have some pretty f*cked up dreams that a psychologist could go on and on forever about lol...

Things about control and issues and just stuff ya know? Cause thats how they talk. Issues and control and stuff.

I had one the other night where there was this lady and she had this magical power but it was not me, anyway she was older and she had this guy she was wanting to see very bad.......she had not met him yet but somehow knew who he was.

Well it was this other world very eerie and forelorn......dark mysterious world and the light was a dark yellow.....

So there is this tower made of dirt. Ontop of the tower is power to work magic.........then this song starts playing and she starts singing it. The more she sings it the closer she gets to the tower. The man is also singing it at the same time, trying to reach the top of the tower.

Its a struggle but they both reach the top of the tower......some strange sex stuff happens.....and he goes away.....then she is ice skating on top of the tower and has gained all its power......

It doesn't seem very ominous but it kinda gave me the creeps so I get up and move places I am sleeping like 4x. From the couch to the floor to the bed and back......and I can't stop dreaming this damn dream!

I HATE that. Its like the dream has a spell on me and won't let me go until its finished.

But it did have catchy theme music.

Anyone ever get this? Dreams that won't let go? Sometimes I will even dream the same dream 3 nights in a row or again years later.

Had this one as a kid.

I'm at a house party. It's Halloween. There are three Frankensteins sitting on a couch. I playfully toss a pillow at the first one. He laughs, catches it and throws it back. I do the same with the 2nd one, he laughs and throws it back.

Then I throw the pillow at the third one. And he stands up, roars, and starts chasing after me. 'Cause he's a REAL Frankenstein. And I'm talking the Boris Karloff green guy with flat head & electrode neck.

He's chasing me through a neighborhood. I'm jumping fences and running, but he's still always behind me (funny how the baddies lumber along slow but they're always RIGHT BEHIND YOU). All the while, I'm beseeching others I'm passing, "please, help me find the key to open my dream."

Beee-lieve it or not, I'm walking on air, I never thought I could feel so free-hee-hee!

ive been discussing dreams with several friends and a co worker lately (as the topic is obviously on my mind lately) and it seems everyone has their own version of the "Im falling" dream. Ive heard a lot of versions of how it took place, but the end is pretty much the same... this lead to that and lead to this and then you're falling! the only thing is... all the people ive talked to fell unwillingly. fell out of a window. fell as a plane crashed. fell off a bridge. but my falling dream, the one i had over and over as a kid, i wasnt just falling off something. I jumped. i always jumped. every dream i would climb to the top of the same tree, and every time i would jump off. the rush would go through me. i didnt have a safety of any kind, it was terrifying. but i always jumped nonetheless. anyone else?
