How-to Videos On Youtube

Recommended Posts

I was checking out YouTube and, ya know, they've got a TON of how-to videos on sewing.

I've only looked at a few thusfar. But there's even a chick with a couple vids on how to make "Raver Pants". She's actually pretty good, though I don't think she showed what they look like finished...

Go to YouTube and search "sewing".

Here's part 1 of the Raver Pants chick: Raver Pants part 1

There's a part 2, and also a "pattern" one, which is probably where she shows what they'll look like.

You ROCK Lovely Lady!!!

*gonna go see what I can find*

I am teaching myself right now..

My boyfriend Paul knows how to do EVERYTHING including sew..

If I need something altered from now on I want to do it myself..

..plus I bought patterns..

..for coats, gloves, pants, skirts..

I know myself, I will be designing in no time..

THANKS for posting this..

You're welcome.:)

I made fingerless gloves before. It's a pain in the ass, but doable.

I got a glove pattern from one of the popular companies, and just trimmed the pattern down and folded over a seam just before the knuckle.

Sigh. I should clean up the freaking "art" room and start sewing again.

The question of the day is can he sew vinyl? LOL. I seriously need to buy some more vinyl pants. I'm so not happy about having the ass split in my favorite pair though....

Yess...this'll be me all up in everyone's house: :shuriken:

SHHH....donut tell n.e. one, 'tis for secret!

Dang, they beat me to the how-to thingy with fashion. I was gonna do that and put it on here actually, rather than youtube, but since I am a student SLAVE now that school started back up, my freetime was eliminated by 89%. So I kinda feel like I let down my little fashion forum. Sorry, I'm a bad mod  ... I'll get to it sooner or later. Someday peoples....someday  I was gonna do tons of weird little how to things, like DIY stuff, dread making stuff, sewing kinda stuff, little accessories kinda stuff.

BWHAHAHA omfg...that made my day. Scary Guy, who says that's not useful?

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm all for baby killing. But it's not like he was TRYING to do that.

If someone wants to post up how-to videos on karate, kung fu, judo, thaiquando, ninjitsu, or any of that other crazy shit I know nothing about go right ahead. I guess it could be fashionable to be throwing out moves but I think it more closely resembles and would belong in the art related subforum.

Even the lock picking doesn't really belong here and this has gotten way WAY off topic/probably should be split off.

OOO, FC, Fingerless gloves are actually quite easy! I used some spare t-shirt material that I had laying about and stretched it a little around my hand and up my arm and pinned it then sewed along the pins, leaving a thumb hole! It would have been easier if I had someone else pinning, but they turn out quite nicely, and there's only one seam!

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
