Very Confused

I don't think I would have said how old he was until they got a chance to meet him, and even then I don't think I would have told them.

If they would have asked, I probably would have said something like, I'm not exactly sure, that's never really come up in conversation, we have so many other things to talk about, that we may have missed that one, and leave it with that. If they say something like he seems a tad older or something I would have said "well maybe he's 80" and just be my usual sarcastic self, by this time they've already met the guy and they probably by now like him. So again, dispelling any misconceptions.

This is why I never mention stuff to my parents either unless I KNOW they're gonna stick around for a while.

Mom, Dad, I met this awesome guy, he's 24, go on and on about how perfect he is for you, tell your family how happy you are about it... etc... Then bring him home. Chances are, once they know how happy you are, they'll be happy for you.

I wish you the best of luck, but to be honest, I really don't see that lasting very long.

He is waaaay farther down the road of life then you are.

He has more life experience then you do.

What can you relate to each other about ?

I mean, I HOPE its more then, oh wow this guy is hot and he talks all sweet to me.

Although!!! now that I did some math in my head, you could fire back at mom and dad about the decision to have you, when they were teenagers...

If I were 43, and you were my kid, I would royaly freak out.

Believe me guys...I appreciate everything that you have said on this topic.

However, I am away from this man and have no intentions of talking to him if he does call me again.

I have since given this a lot of thought...and it is a lil creepy with the fact that he is older than my mom and very close in age to my dad.
