Soulrev
Well I'm being discharged for asthma. Never knew I had it till I came into the military. I'm kind of depressed about it and they're fucking me over on it as well. I'm not going to get paid for the rest of my life I'm just getting out of the military. Whatever. I've spent a lot of time talking to a military attorney and trying to fight this shit but these assholes can do what they want since I signed my soul over to them. So I have to go through the process now and I'm sure I'll be home in a few weeks. At least I'm not going to Iraq and I can be with my wife now. Fuck it. At least now I see how the ARMY really takes care of their soldiers. See you all soon. -B
Brenda Starrr
Oh, THAT sucks. I have it as well. It definitely limits you on some things. I just cannot believe that they'll discharge you for that, though. Then again, I don't know enough about it. It'll be nice to have you home, though. Reaper
The armed forces are part of a government. And the government can almost do anything they please these days. They just have to do it under your nose. lol Sorry to hear that Soulrev, but at least you get back to those couple of things you listed.

The Army screwed him over too.
Homicidalheathen
I am sure your future will work out fine. Welcome back.
Soulrev
Yeah I'm sure everything will be fine. I'm planning on going back to college to finish my degree in automotive at WyoTech. It will only take about 4 months to finish it so that's not bad. I think the next few months are going to be kinda hard though. I'm going to have to manage to pay the 700 dollars a month in bills while I'm in school not to mention the rent and shit I'll have to pay when I get there. So, right now the plan is to just come home and work and save up some money and go back to school when I'm ready. My wife is going to help me out a lot on the money part, too so at least I won't be alone in this venture. Once I get my degree I'm sure I won't have any problem finding a good job. They say trained mechanics start out at about 35k a year and being around the Chicago area there are tons of opportunities, I always see ads in the paper for auto techs. I'm not sure how much longer I'll be stuck here in Fort Polk but hopefully I'll be home soon so I can get started with my plans. I'm already set to go back to school, I just need to re-apply for my student loans and wait for that to come through and then save up the cash for living expenses. My company commander said I should be out of here in a week or two if everything goes as planned. But, I've heard from some people that Fort Polk is "understaffed" and they are putting people on hold for their med-boards and seperations. I hope that's just talk because now that I know I have no future here, the longer I stay the longer I have to wait and it's just going to hold me back. I mean, I could be making more money in the civilian world right now and saving up cash a lot faster. Oh well. Hope to see you all soon. I will let you know if anything new happens. -B
