Ok...heres a funny story that I thought I would share.

My cat is who is just over a year old does some really funny stuff but this tops it.

One night I had just fallen asleep and usually Misty lays right next to me but that night I didnt know where he was but I really didnt think anything of it. Then all of a sudden I heard a huge crash right next to my bed. I look down beside the bed and theres my cat. I thought what the hell happened? Then i realized that he had jumped onto the windowsill and had lost his balance and fell off. I laughed so hard. He gave me a look like...I meant to do that.

What funny stuff does your cat do?

This isn't really funny. But the other morning, one of my cats spooked and shot off like a bullet - across my sleeping head. I got a nice slash in my temple & some piercings in my ear where I didn't plan them.

And just prior to our first visit back to City Club after returning from NC in 2005, one of my cats spooked off the top of the headboard above me and fell on my face. I ended up with a jagged gash from a little below my eye to the bridge of my nose. (I painted fake X's like stitches on it for a couple weeks.)

I am absolutely terrified that one of these days, one of them is going to get my eye. We need to find a way to set our bed so it's not backed up to a window - they get up on the headboard to look out.

As for funny stuff, with 12 cats in the house, I could write a freaking novel. But one I find particularly funny is we have this really fluffy cat named Marty, and a smaller orange tabby named Fletcher. Here are pictures of them:

martymonitor.jpgfletchermonitor.jpg

Marty is so freaking weird. He's really big, but exceptionally sweet, and we're pretty sure that he's gay in the most sissy way possible. Fletcher is a little shit. And one of Fletchers favorite things to do is to tackle Marty and pull his hair out in bunches. Once in a while, Marty gets "brave" and will "attack" Fletcher by grabbing him and mounting him and meowing really loudly, basically "fucking" Fletcher. Fletcher just looks really, really confused and uncomfortable.

(And yes, they are both neutered.) We tell him, "you get him, Marty! You fuck him!"

Ummm... maybe it's one of those "you have to be there" things...:huh::unsure:

ok, unfortunately I had to have my cat put down due to illness a couple years ago. But, one memory I have of her that is particularly funny is how she used to excercise. She was a strictly indoor cat. If she got out, it was by accident. Anyway, she used to run from one end of the house to the other, back and forth, top speed, for no apparent reason. After witnessing this a few times, I concluded this was her workout routine. Anyway, at the end of the hallway on one end of the house, there is a small bookcase. no carpet in the hall. The cat comes flyin like a rocket down the hall, looses traction on the floor, and goes ass over tea kettle into the bookcase. She then gets up, looks around and then walks into the bedroom and gets up on the bed and takes a nap..

Critter - maybe put some softpaws claw covers on them? I would have a huge problem with my rambunctious kitties without those. Can't stand dealing with the carnage when they jump on delicate areas like faces!

My newest kitten - Kauket - disappeared. My girls and I searched the whole house for her. Two hours - nothing. I was really panicked because I love that little mischevious baby. Not a peep out of her and no sign.

My kid said "maybe she's behind the oven. I saw her back there sniffing before" so she got the feather toy and sure enough the kitten's paw snaked out from under the oven! She was IN it - deep inside the back in the wiring and everything. I had to attach an old window screen there now to keep her out of it. She's a little demon - have to kittenproof everything.

Just today I was taking a bath and had my hair in a bun, head hanging over the side of the bath. I was ready to get out and raised my head and it seemed my hair was stuck - then discovered my tomkitty was playing with my hair and had it in his mouth, hanging there.

They are a lot of trouble but I love them all.

Oh, and if we just took the time to trim all their claws, we wouldn't have to consider SoftPaws. Even with 12 cats, it only takes 10 minutes tops to do all of them. But a few of them fight savagely when it's trimming time, and it gets really traumatic. Need to learn to deal with it and trim them regularly.

There are these pouches you can buy that you zip the cat into it and you can withdraw a paw at a time. I need to really get wise and invest in one of them for the savages.

Oh cool. I need to look into that when time comes to replace the clawcovers. I end up doing it about over a week's time because I can only manage 1 or 2 claws per cat per session, heh heh.

my cat hates if I shut him out of the bathroom. If I am taking a bath and shut him out he bangs his head and body into the bathroom door until it opens. My other cat likes to rattle my bedroom door when I am trying to sleep. She puts her paw under the door and moves it so the door bangs it was so bad I had to put a door stop in backwords so she cant rattle the door anymore

She's all about teasing Raven, they kinda go back and forth at each other. She also knows that we don't like her claws. So when he's sleeping I'll let her in and she'll take her claws out and try to look all innocent and bats at him (this morning it was his chin) like she's trying to get his attention, when really...she is just digging her talons in his FACE (and lovin' it). Then he'll be all "GAH" and push her off the bed.

When my kitty was itty bitty he used to lick my eyelids while I was sleeping.

He also used to sit on my books while I was trying to read.

I think they all do that... anytime I have a project spread out on the floor... collage, grading papers, coloring books, paying bills... one of mine is likely to come and recline smack dab in the middle of where I'm working.

I don't know how funny this is... maybe just pervy... but Tomoe has appointed herself our official sex kitty... whenever me & Tokagemaru are going at it she lies on the bed and does this thunderous purr that she never does any other time.

Tomoe is Chango and Lynx's older half sister... same mother, different litter. When Kitsu was weaning Chango & Lynx's litter, Tomoe had a litter too (yes we were irresponsible pet owners back then due to being helly poor, they're all fixed now). Lynx decided he didn't want to be weaned and started nursing with Tomoe's kittens. Pretty funny 'cos he was almost as big as Tomo-chan even then:

He weighs over 20 lb now, prolly due to the excessive nourishment during his formative months.

and yeah, that is the same kitty... he started developing the stripes at around 6 months and they get darker every year.

*grins* when are my furbabies ever not funny?

Igor~ has this annoying habit when he is feeling miserable. I'll be sitting at the computer, working away, then all of a sudden, I'm pushed back into my chair (litterally, he stands on his back paws and pushes me back) and he curls up around my neck, by lying on my boobs and my shoulder. It's adorable that he wants to lay right under my chin for comfort, but annoying when I'm really busy.

Tut~ is my fattest cat. He looks like a miniture tiger cub. (except in tabby colors) His adorable thing is to attack my shoe. Or a piece of paper on the floor. He will waddle really fast into the living room, slide across the floor and attack the shoe. Then after he makes sure the shoe is dead, his head will jerk around looking for his next target. He always looks up for some reason when he does that. He will locate his newest target and proceed to demolish whatever it was. I purposely leave circular ads on the floor for that reason alone, its so hilarious.

My last two kitties, Puck and Noelle. Now most cats like to chase laser pointers around, but my cats take the cake. I can get puck to jump over Noelle to chase the little red beam of light. I can get Noelle to try and climb walls with the little red light. I can get igor to run around in circles and he once ran into the wall, chasing the light. It was comical, because once i started cracking up and let go of the light, he started looking around, like hey, where is it? Did I get it?

My upstairs attic window was open once, and a bird flew in the house. The bird flew down the stairs across the living room into the hall way and into the kitchen. It headed straight to the window and got caught behind the blinds. I wake up to my cats, *there were five of them at that time* meowing. I followed their meows into the kitchen to see all five of them, sitting in a row facing the window. The poor bird twittering and hopping about. Now, I'm a little squeamish when it comes to handling birds, so I opted to just open the back door and let the bird out. Oh no. So Im crawling across the floor on my hands and knees towards my cats, and manage to snatch the closest one. I carry that cat while scooting across the floor and shut him in the basement. I do that with all the cats until I get to the last cat. The bravest cat. Igor. He evades me trying to grab him, and jumps on the table. The bird goes nuts and starts squawking. Loudly. Igor thinks to himself, "Yes get excited. Get nervous." He then he pounces. Or at least, I think that is what he tried to do, he jumped off the table at the bird, the bird flew out from behind the blinds and Igor smacks into the window and does the comical sliding down the wall. I'm still on the floor avoiding the dive bombing the little bird is attempting to do, and I manage to get Igor. He gets shut in the basement with all the other cats and I manage to get the back door open. All crawling on the floor. As soon as the bird is free, he flies off. Mocking me and my poor cats.

whew, that was a lot of strolling down memory lane. Sorry for the book.

heheheh..... got my hands on a piece of *fresh* catnip plant..... you think your cat's reaction to the dried stuff is funny, try *fresh*! My cats went apeshit! heheheh.....

years ago, when I gave my cat, some cat nip, she would start purring wildly, and then she would plunk a side of her body down on the floor and start rolling in it, almost like she was stoned.
