That report, at the very end pretty much summed up that they are cooperating and are not hiding anything the report was practically closed. Iran isn't breaking any laws here... To put it in words we all can understand, Scott Ritter, a UN inspector of all this brings up many issues that this report failed to take in account...Scott Ritter

That's the whole reasoning behind the big fuss over his visit here, his credibility as a leader and the whole nuclear thing. And I don't think too highly of the guy either as I've already said. There's theories out there that Isreal may actually be pulling some strings in all this but I've not gotten enough information to really form an opinion one way or another on that. However I do know that through what I've looked up, Iran isn't making Nuclear weapons. The U.N. Inspectors have verified this (like they did with Iraq's WMD's) And even the IAEA has practically closed the case about this. You are not president Bush, so I never said you wanted to war with them, that's Bush's crusade...

I believe the doubt cast on machine's actual army experience is that he claimed to be a reservist - and a couple people who have actually served said the Rangers do not have a reservist branch or something like that.

I wasn't involved in the discussion, but as an observer (I was anonymous on DCC), I tended to believe what others were bringing forth as "proof" that Machine was full of shit.

FC - The Rangers are not a branch of the military. Officially they are the 75th Ranger Regiment of the US Army and are all stationed at Fort Benning. There are limits to how many Rangers there is at any given time, 3 Battalions of about 580 rangers each, plus up to 15% to cover people in training or TDYs. But far more people than that are "Rangers". You can be "Ranger Qualified" but not get attached to the 75th.

Most men in the 75th will get upset if you call yourself a Ranger, even with the training, and are not part of the 75th but there is nothing illegal or against military code to call yourself a Ranger if you have the training. The training is available to everyone in the Army, Army Reserves and National Guard but the 75th is only available to the Army.

BTW.. the Army Reserve has people that can do every job that people do in the Army do... thats the whole point of the Reserves.. backups for the main force... why the hell wouldn't there be Rangers in the Reserves?

another FYI - there are 13,300 people who are considered Army Special Operations on active duty right now... 3,400 in the National Guard and another 8,300 in the Army reserves.

in short... People who don't know jack about the military really should not try to discredit someone who has served.
