My Beadwork

Spun from another thread. This is what I've been getting into over the past year or so.

Still working on my technique. The first one features my first dive into wire work, simple knots that didn't require a ton of sterling wire.

This is the sort of thing I hope to sell in Traverse City boutiques someday.

The last one, light blue, is awesome!

Thank you. :) It's actually a combination of clear and milky crystal chips with two different color blue Austrian crystal accents. That was actually my first one.

Brenda - I would have guessed you'd like that one! ;) I saw that glass cheetah heart bead and I had to build something around it.

I just came into a major, major windfall. A woman a couple streets over is selling off a ton of beads. She had a box full of about 300 strands that I know go for $1.99 to $5.00 a piece - she gave it all to me for $25! I priced it all at - minimum - $550. That was before I realized they were mostly $2.99 strands and up I've seen at Michael's & JoAnne's.

She has others she was charging more for. I'm going over there tomorrow, giving her my phone number, and telling her if she wants to cut me a really, really good deal on what she has left over at the end of her sale, to call me.

I only wear one necklace. It's my Blessed Mother. However, I would actually wear that badass one you made.

I don't promise anything these days, as the recovery from depression is far from complete. I'm still having major motivation/energy problems.

But if I can get my ass in gear, I might just put a duplicate together as a wedding gift for a fellow fan of leopard print. ;):)

Wow...very nice work. Where did you learn to do all that? I would normally wear beaded jewelry, but 9 times out of 10 it's too feminine for me, 'cause I'm just so very unfem. If I could make my own though....I could crank out some sexy necklaces of DOOM.

Either way, you rule just for thinking along those lines!

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
