CandyQuackenbush
Didn't know where to post this, so I post it in Other Things.... But I am a PROUD Jeep Owner of a 2004 Liberty code named "Vegas". *It has it's reasons.* I saw the ad for the new Liberty in Stars and Stripes newspaper *what we read in Iraq, its a military newspaper* and I was swooned! I officaly own my Liberty in less than 18 months. So I am waiting til I own it, and drive my jeep "into the ground" and wait for the quarks to be taken out of it before I buy one. When the time comes, I am going to make sure that I get it new. It might be the Only New car that I buy, but Goddamnit, it would my perfect jeep. Take a look at it! http://www.jeep.com/en/2008/liberty/gallery/ Fucking swoon, thats all I need to say.

Head Wreck
cant knock jeeps. they do the job thier meant to do which a lot of SUV's throw toys out of the pram as soon as the surface is above 30 degrees and untarmacked. i only trust steyer-panuch (merc G Wagen, Peugeot P4), jeep and landies for that job (and not the pretty landies thier doing now)
Msterbeau
It is quite sexy. More importantly - It's all military spec hardware. Way stronger then the civilian stuff....

creatureofthenyte
I think jeeps are cool. I heard something about Chrysler wanting to put a diesel engine a jeep model, but I can't remember which one.

Gaf The Horse With Tears
Flame Red was a kick ass color to paint. Good coverage and low chance of dry spray. Almost never had to repaint Flame red. The paint process was pretty cool. It involved 2.5miles of chain, 17 robots, 3 robot operators, 4 painters and about 30 people loading, inspecting, finishing and packing. All to paint your front bumper, rear bumber and lower door pannels.

That beast I posted above is a 4 cylinder turbo-diesel. They did a 6 in the Liberty for a year.

know_buddy_kares
The cool thing about jeeps.. is it's easy to take the windshield out and put it back in... A buddy of mine way back in the day had a jeep. He took the front window out, took it to his insurance and made a claim saying someone busted in and stole a bunch of shit.. got done with the paperwork, and went home and put the windshield back in. he got $11,000...
