We're All Going To Be Struggling Much Worse

Recommended Posts

She's worse than any fucking kid with a credit card I've EVER seen. She runs around putting fucking commercials on TV about "how great Michigan is!" with cameos from Jeff Daniels (I wonder how many thousands/millions that cost), has parties on Mackinac Island almost every weekend on OUR tab, her husband gets $150,000 dollars a year for sitting on his fucking duff (reminds you of Kwame and the nice Navigator he bought for his wife - no?), hired in all of her good buddies which of course are overpaid as we speak, replaced ALL of the mile marker signs on I-75 (the mile road signs just so they'd have the symbol "I-75" instead of just the mile road number...YEAH 'cause it was TOTALLY necessary  Wouldn't want to forget we've been driving on I-75 for the past 100 some miles going up north, now would we? ) and countless amounts of other bullshit....AND NOW? It's time for US to pay the bill:

Anyone who is still for this horrible abominable woman - OPEN YOUR EYES. You're being lied to!

When Engler was in office btw...he got the unemployment rate down to 3.2, which was the lowest unemployment rate in the HISTORY of the State of Michigan. How do you ask? He cuts taxes, doesn't favor unions unfairly (because unions are unfair and unneccesary), and created business incentives and low tax rates for industry.

So...since you all put her in office, I hope you're proud of yourselves (the people that voted for her anyway). Sure DeVos might not have been better as a person...but he knows how to add and subtract numbers, which Granholm apparantly skipped in school. Oh wait...that's right...she was going to be an ACTRESS before any of her political career even started, she didn't need to know how to do basic math or anything like that. Welp...it sure shows.

Hopefully the voting populous of Michigan won't be stupid enough to re elect her, there may not be a state left to be re elected in.

Yes....but that's what we all thought the second time our obviously ignorant Michiganders voted her in. I can say "yeah...nobody is that stupid" but I was already proved wrong the last elections

Just be glad you're not here at the moment...very very glad  This place was so amazing to grow up in, but lemme tell you, the rest of my college years are going to suck BECAUSE of one stupid lady...

I can't wait to write her an angry letter congratulating her on ruining my life.

well I still hope to visit again some day and meet me some more dgn'ers

Please do obviously! Not trying to deter you from Michigan (as anyone know I'm probably the biggest promoter of this state in general) it's just a little out of order at the moment  It's still a nice place to visit...but you wouldn't wanna live here until that demon lady either dies (please God please) or is out of office.

well the whole right to work state thing doesnt sit well with me at all. It is possible that I could transfer out there and still have the same job, that I have now, with the same company, but I think that would involve a signifcant pay cut. Unfortunately, I have to care about things like that, so visits will be all I can do for the forseeable future.

what i cant figure out is...

why cant politicians live in normal houses?

because, Mr. HW sir,

its all about Money and status and popularity.

They have to keep their massive egos fed by living like kings & queens, some on our tax dollars.

if they Did live in normal houses as per your inquiry, then our state and federal governments wouldn't have as many money troubles as they currently have.

Just one...

....two...

...three examples of where at least one "ignorant, stupid dem" tried to do some research to see which was the lesser of two evils to vote for in the last election.

To be perfectly honest, I ended up not able to vote that day. I went out on the job with my husband, and he ended up having to do overtime calls which had us outside of our voting district until about 15 minutes past the closing of the polls.

I would have voted for Granholm. Because I wasn't convinced that DeVos had the best interest of the people of michigan in mind. I read and heard a lot that showed a backhistory of favoring corporations & big business at the expense of the individuals.

I don't think either was a good candidate. I also posted a thread defending the right to not waste a vote on anyone who didn't deserve it. I fully believe in a "none of the above" choice on all ballots. If enough people vote "none of the above", new candidates need to be chosen and the sitting candidate loses his/her job.

Don't get me stated!!! I totally agree with you! Granholm is the worst Governor ever !! Even more detrimental to this state than former Gov. Blanchard who was a turd. Engler was the best Governor Michigan ever had and cared about this state and its residents. Not to mention the gas tax that former Pres. Clinton implemented !!! Democrats are true Jack Asses. LOL

Wrong on some counts.

Granholm has been a miserable failure, but Blanchard was ok. Engler was a good governor, but he made his share of mistakes as well.

I find it amusing that you would be upset with Clinton over the gas tax, thus implying him to be your run of the mill 'tax and spend' democrat of yore. Clinton was often called 'too conservative' by democrats and, like Bush and most other Presidents, was generally a good President who made some decisions that were popular with half the population and unpopular with half. Ultimately someone more to the extreme left than Clinton or right than Bush would be considered a worse President by the majority of the population, as the majority of the population is more liberal than moderate conservative Bush and more conservative than moderate liberal Clinton.

Also, you say 'Democrats are true Jack Asses' as if the same can't be said equally of Republicans, which it TOTALLY can be.

If Clinton isn't responsible for the gas tax then who is ? Yes, Engler did make some mistakes, but he also made some very good decisions for this state and helped the unemployment issue. Where as Granholm has made Michigan's unemployment rate the highest it has been in a while. Not all democrats are jackasses and some republicans can have the same label. It is the individuals views and how they handle things in politics in general that is the problem.

Oh yea Engler was a great man - like that time he closed down the mental institutions and threw all those crazy people that needed medical treatment out on the streets making them homeless. Those were the good old days eh?

We need more rich - pro corporate republicans in office giving all those rich CEO's corporate welfare while cutting spending to families living in poverty because that's what those people deserve for being poor - right!?

Funny how people that support republicans ignore the fact that their party does horrible things as well like our great leader king George vetoing the child health care bill.

Hmmmmm let's see - while the republicans controlled washington our king didn't veto any spending bills but now that the other party is in control he's on a veto rampage.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....I'll wait for those truths to sink in.

Hmm. The 'child health care' bill was based mainly on a ridiculous hike in cigarette taxes. You do know that a large number of poor people are addicted to cigarettes right? So what we gets is either poor people now struggle even worse, or we get people quitting smoking. Now the second is a perfectly desirable situation, except that once people start quitting, where does the tax revenue come from? It is irresponsible to base something so important as child health care on something like taxing smoking. It would be better to increase the gas tax to come up with the same kind of revenue; people more capable of paying taxes will be the ones paying more taxes.

Then again, Congressional Democrats haven't really shown that they care who is being taxed at a high rate, so long as it's everybody.
