Leland Hotel

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at the Leland Hotel. I've heard some really bad things. My birthday is this Saturday, and we're thinking of getting a room... just in case ;)

It can be a little.... er.... anthropological at times.... (I once found a small bag of ancient weed in my bed for example)... but it's ok

The problem is everytime we fix up everything, and get shit workin like it supposed to, a bunch of random fuckheads come from the suburbs and DESTROY IT!!! Now being that I work there I know 98% of the inner happenings of the building. As far as stuff falling apart, taken care of. Crazy people roaming the halls, on it every weekend. People throwin stuff outta windows, gettin kicked out right after it happens. So we're doin the best we can to make it better, its already known that we can't compete with MGM, MotorCity, Greektown(if it opens) Marriot, Doubletree and etc., but at least its still availible for a decent nite to pass out. And yes I do live there, only tempoary.

Doesn't matter, the key word here is diligence. If people break shit then fix it, and if they continue to break it then fix it again. The problem isn't just cosmetic, Mike won't spend a dime on it unless he HAS to. I still say he's a slum lord and until he starts to really care about the place I'll continue to do so. The parts that no one has access too, without public access (that I sneaked into once or twice to look around) are even screwed up almost beyond repair. The fact that it even functions as a building at all let alone one used for the public to stay in is mind boggling. The building should be condemned and I'm guessing that the only money that is put into the place is payoffs to city officials not to do so. It's been moving down hill since well before I started going and the economy went to hell, so lack of funds is no excuse either.
