We've lucked out and found a couple pairs of Doc's at yard sales, amazingly enough. As for new shoes, I know Showtime Clothing on Woodward in Detroit carries a lot of great brands, but I honestly can't say how their size range is. I know they are not cheap. I'd say, look up these phone numbers and call. Noir leather in Royal Oak Showtime in Detroit There's always Hot Topic - Dearborn at Fairlane, Briarwood in Ann Arbor, Southland in Taylor, Great Lakes Crossing in Pontiac
Destroit
Incognito used to be sass-shoe-central back when I was a corner kid (I think it's been 3 years now since The Corner disbanded...god I feel dated already and I'm only 22). It's at the corner of Fourth & Main Street in Royal Oak, they have everything (but since Royal Oak is being "preppied", hence there being no Corner anymore, I can't guarantee how much their selection has changed). I'm surprised Noir Leather is still open, due to the disbanding of The Corner Kids and the replacement by the jock-invasion. The owner, Keith, is very business savvy though, and makes a good amount on internet sales and his other Noir Leather stores here in USA and overseas bring in good revenue, so I guess that's how he can afford to keep the doors open on the Royal Oak store. Personally, I think the goth/punk kids should invade Royal Oak again, at least until we all get thrown out by the police force after like 15-20 years of being there (which is why there's no more goth/punk kids in Royal Oak)

There apparently is a steady enough stream of customers over the years that it doesn't require a set group going there every weekend. I didn't recommend Incognito because when I went there (again, early 90's) it was TRULY punk. My first leather jacket came from there. That's where I got a ton of Cure, Siouxsie & other stickers that are all over my guitar cases. I bought my beloved Cure Mixed Up t-shirt there, which has seen so much wear I can't be sure it'll stay together next time I pull it out of a drawer. I also bought a lot of cool silver jewelry, other t-shirts, etc. It's really pathetic to me what Incognito has become. It's like they're trying to be some kind of Italian haute couture shop or something.
