After 9 years I'm ending my run as Friday night resident DJ at City Club. It's been fun, but it's time to move on. I'll still be a monthly resident at Necto.

My last night will be October 26th. Hope you can make it.

I just wanted to say, that when DGN night was the thing, people used to always say, Saturday's the night for meeting everyone, BUT

Friday's the night for good music.

You will be missed. :welcome:

Thank you, I appreciate the comment very much.

Hope you can make it to the club tonight

Damn man, couldn't at least wait til my foot is healed to pull one of these. I see how you are. Haha. I'll try to make it up there. Fridays haven't really been my thing for some time now, mostly for a lack of crowd as of late, but I totally respect you as a DJ and a person, and wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors.

P.S. Just out of curiosity, despite not really talking to you much over the years, some of my fondest memories are conversations I've had on the HFCC Pagoda back in '98 and '99. I often wonder if the people that hung there, most of which I no longer remember, are mostly happy with what live has brought them. I'm sure we all discovered years before that life was just not as beautiful as it was when we were children, however it seems that many of us seek to beautify our surroundings and perspectives until we find what we're looking for. I guess my question is are you mostly happy? This is a question I ask myself when making a life altering decision. I know that if I can be happy with what is now, then there is hope that I will be equally or more happy in the future. At any rate, I hope that your choices bring you greater happiness, love, good friends, and many future blessings. Take care bro.

On a side note, despite my ill memory, I vaguely remember this couple Lou and Stacy. Lou seemed to wear out this Superman T-Shirt (I really hope I got their names right but it doesn't really matter). To this day I remember Euchre with them and one other person while we were all kinda grouped there. Lou and I won, and he decided to rub it in her face to which she replied, "You might kick my ass in games, but I kick your ass in life!" I've always found this very amusing, and have used it from time to time. Keep on kicking ass in life Jon.

Yeah, it's been like 7 weeks. I have to have the thing rebroken most likely and haven't had much time between work and recording. I know that sounds kinda stupid, but there's also the fact that I have no medical insurance at all. I'll see if I can't find someone else going that I can't tag along with in exchange for free smoke or something....

Thanks to everyone who made it City Club on Friday. It was a great night. I really can't think of the words to accurately describe how happy I am with the way the night turned. Great way to end a 9 year run.

Thank you again,

    • ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.

    • I'm glad  that yesterday's day at work is long gone now. There was a very strong unusual energy that I felt, and couldn't get done with the day fast enough. It wasn't  the job at all. I just felt like I really needed to keep my mouth shut, to keep me from getting in situation(s) that probably wouldn't have ended well for me.
    • You can trust anyone you want.  The only question is whether or not they're deserving of that trust. No risk = no reward.  As such you have to let yourself be vulnerable sometimes and realize that all people will let you down eventually whether it's intentional or not.  The frequency that it happens is what's important.
    • Sorry, I don't check this as often as I should. Anyway document everything (although it sounds like @Trene4000already has been from her post.) It's okay to cry and break down, but not in front of them.  Never give them the satisfaction of seeing you crack.  If anything I'd go out of my way to piss them off, but I don't like being that guy either (and as such I'm not very good at it, except sometimes when I'm not intending to be.) I try to only help those whom deserve it, but that's often hard to judge.  Seeing how someone treats other people is a pretty good indicator of whether or not they're worthy.  Sociopathic narcissistic asshats are very much not worthy. I hope things are going well for you guys.
