Black Sunday
So anyway I was thinking of dying my hair white. yeah or nay? I am not sure if a 30 year old man dying his hair is lame and desperate looking. Keep in mind my hair is very short, like a buzz cut, sort of. thanks for your consideration. TomCat
It may appear slightly eminem-y. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Kinda agree with Marblez here (Don't let it go to your head, Woman!!) As a man also in my 30's, dying your hair screams of mid-life crisis, especially if it's extreme. Unless you've got a hot 18-25 year old chick/GF/Sex slave with a body that don't quit, that REALLY wants you to do it, I'd advise against it. If you do have one of these, does she have a sister??? :devil
Nienna
Yeah... I ditto the Eminem-y sentiment myself.
Brenda Starrr
It really depends on how dark your hair is naturally. If your hair is really dark, you may have to bleach twice (don't leave the bleach on for more than one hour, as it doesn't really bleach anymore after that.), then tone it with a platinum color and 20 volume creme developer for 10-15 minutes. paradox
ya only live once. if the thought appeals to you, try it. like you said, yer hair is short, so if you dont like the look it wont take long to grow out.
Marblez
I think bald is the look for you, if you don't like it....well you could just shave it off!
Fierce Critter
Actually, I think if you can go truly white - not blonde or yellow - that would be cool to see.
soothsayer
I say go for it. Your only 30 ~ it's not like your fuckin' old. I'm over 30 and I look younger and when people meet me they always think I'm 24 - 26 and I color my hair. If your changing your appperance for yourself go for it and don't let other people tell you no. I have heard a few remarks from an asshole or two but it's because their jealous and any guy that's gonna talk shit about another guy coloring his hair must be some balding old fat ass fuck. Again I say ~ go for it !!!!

Ginevra
Here is a super hottie!!!!! Too bad he's such an jerk . . . . but I digress . . . . Black Sunday, if white hair would please you, then do it. If it doesn't please you, then don't. It's simple as that. One person's thought of what might look good is completely different than the next.
gothicmom
It's easy to say, do what you want. It's hard to make the decision of should I or shouldn't I. You are lucky bcause if it doesn't look good you can just shave it off......if I did something to my hair I didn't like I would have to go through a long process to fix it. torn asunder
As a man also in my 30's, dying your hair screams of mid-life crisis, especially if it's extreme. hey, check my avatar, then read the following... fuck off!! :laughing :whistling
LuluVox
Do it. If it doesn't turn out, dye it black or shave it off. EDIT: I think it uncool to spout out generalities like "anyone who ____s after the age of ___ is a dork". It's insensitive / ill-informed / kinda mean. In my opinion, all cases are subject to review before the official stamp of lameness is bestowed upon them. EDIT 2: yes, I was paraphrasing and yes, I realize that wasn't exactly what was said. JaneDead
yeah i would not think of a guy dying their hair as a mid life crisis. especially not here on a goth board. more people than not probably dye their hair here. girls and guys alike. DarkenedCharm
So anyway I was thinking of dying my hair white. yeah or nay? I am not sure if a 30 year old man dying his hair is lame and desperate looking. Keep in mind my hair is very short, like a buzz cut, sort of. thanks for your consideration. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am 34 years old, and have been dyeing my hair black for almost 15 years constant. At times, I will even add streaks (I have had red, electric blue, and blond). I am not suffering from a mid-life crisis, or trying to cover age, for that matter. It is natural for me to color my hair, and it looks good on me (so I have been told). As some have said, if it is your choice, do it. I personally wanted my streaks when they were blonde to be white, but I had to stop doing the streaks. The bleach was killing my hair, so I had to just let all my hair repair itself before I could dye it again. Now, it is healthy and black again.
