Today Is Our 9 Year Anniversary

Recommended Posts

I started feeling a cold coming on yesterday. We had planned to go to the new Palette Dining Studio at MGM today. They serve tapas style - little tiny samples of prepared dishes that enable you to try a dozen different things without the abhorable waste that comes from your typical all-you-can-eat buffets. Not to mention gourmet fare. I love this type of dining - a spoonful of this, a forkful of that.

And we did enjoy it. It was awesome. No one particular dish blew either of us away. But I tried some things I've never had before (oyster Rockefeller, lobster ravioli, etc), found a few new things I really liked, some stuff that I've heard of but upon sampling thought "meh". The serving style was really pleasant. I asked for hot tea to go with dessert. I wasn't just brought out a metal, lidded container and a bag of Lipton. I was brought an actual tea service - a china teapot and a teacup on a little china platter, a little dish with lemon slices, a Wedgewood teaspoon, and a little jar of honey - not a foil-topped plastic thing, a little sealed jar. And I had my choice of teas, and went with a great Earl Grey. That alone made the evening.

We blew about $17.00 on slots, didn't win a thing, and came home happy.

Then, the cold intensified. So I spent the day in bed by myself, blowing my nose, sucking cough drops. Jon had to go to the new shop today for drug testing and some other stuff, and was taken out to lunch by some of the guys - while I ate canned chicken soup. And he's understandably avoiding me because the last thing we need is for him to get sick when he's supposed to be going to a new job.

Then, he got called by the old shop and they want to take him to dinner because they're still trying to make him stay. And I'm SICK TO FUCKING DEATH of these games, and I just want him to start at the new place Monday. He got so sick of their games he quit yesterday instead of waiting out his 2 weeks notice, and I gave him my blessing. He's supposed to start at the new place Monday. But now I don't know what in hell is going to happen and it has me absolutely crawling the walls with nerves.

Me. In bed. With the cats and the dog. Crappy soup. Sore throat. Headache. Laptop.

Happy fucking anniversary. :rolleyes::yucky::bye2:

I'd let them take me to dinner, order a big ass steak and some martinis, then dessert, then let them pitch me, and then agree to stay, and then at the dend of dinner go likethis:

"hey you wanna know what?"

"FUCK YOU"

and leave a dollar ont he table for his part of the tip and walk.

but thats just me, and Im an asshole sometimes.

PS - congragulations Love. you can have an anniversary snuggled up in bed as easily as you can at some foo foo shi shi resturaunt.......

Jon, congrats on the new job....

And congrats on 9 yrs!!!! WhOOt....!!!

To many people get divorced these days......

so to you I say......and many happy returns!!! I am sure you'll be together to the end.

Everyone is getting sick now babe, its going around. I think a lot of it has to do with the weather not being able to make up its mind.

Get better and HAPPY ANIVERSARY to youuu!:peanutbutterjellytime:

We discussed it. We're going to wait until we've been married 49 years. And in that last year prior to our 50th, we're going to start slutting around, fucking anything that moves, throwing it in each other's faces, and get divorced. ROFLMAO

Jon didn't even go to dinner. He's going to the new place. Tired of their games and won't even take calls from them anymore. Thank GOD.

Still sick today. But Jon's home and doting on me. My sister gave us a rain check to take us out for our anniversary. All's good. :)
