Destroit
Awww I miss drawing on my eyebrows. My boyfriend doesn't like 'em drawn on, but I might just do it again at some point anyway, just because I like 'em better and actually they're easy to manage. Trust me, the hardest part isn't drawing ones that look really nice, it's drawing them on evenly. You'll see what I mean soon enough They don't smudge though like people say, I dunno maybe I just have a really non-greasy forehead? That's always a big complaint is that it smudges, but I've even gone swimming with eyebrows I drew on with cheap pencil eyeliner, and they stayed there the whole time. Basically how I used to do it is I would do a "three-point process" as I call it. Visually "measure" from the corner of both of my eyes up, make two slants like backslash style: \ (obviously coordinating the direction of the slants how you want them. Note that, depending on the style, it does not necessarily have to be slant shaped. You could also use a C shape, for instance, if you want the thicker end of your brow to be more rounded. All a matter of taste.) Then I go on my face where I would put the "ends" of my eyebrows (usually where your ridge tapers off toward your temple more) and put two sharp little dashes for each eye (in the directions you'd like your brows to taper off) and then the last one is the trickiest. It's often hard to measure visually where the third dot should go, especially if you're doing more rounded eyebrows (I usually made mine angry, i.e. kinda geometric and angular looking). The third dot should be about two-thirds away from the first initial slant, but it is varied depending on what style you're going for. The third dot is where the arch in the eyebrow is going to be, so basically with this one just make sure it's slightly above or at the same level as the first slant, and make sure it is visually even with the other eye. After that I always just trace carefully, over my three dots, starting from the slant and ending at the tail, obviously starting out thicker toward the slant. The reason the three-point system is more effective is because you initially build a foundation for your eyebrows to proverbially sit on, and if you use three dots and the dimensions of your own face, it is easier to get it to look even without having to wipe them off a billion times and break your eyeliner pencil in the process out of sheer anger. If you were to just do one single stroke, drawing your eyebrows on one at a time by just starting at your "slants" and going all the way though, well you'd have to have a real knack for art to eyeball it and get it anywhere near acceptable. It's kinda one of those things, like the game Dance Dance Revolution, where it looks like it would be very simple to do, but once you try it you quickly figure out it's hard if not damn near impossible. Also, if you do need to wipe, always use toilet paper on the end of your finger, wet it down slightly and push the smudge IN toward your eyebrow. If you pull the smudge away or alongside your eyebrow, you will have a streak either going up on your forehead, or the top of your brow will end up really smudgy and not sharp looking. Soooo hoped that helped as a tip of advice. It's kinda hard to follow without pictures I suppose....hmmm maybe I should take my eyebrows out and do a pic by pic demo, 'cause when my boyfriend asks it would be a viable excuse as to why I'm drawing them on again. Nienna
OHMAN. It took me until I was 23 to learn how to put on eyeliner acceptably. NO WAY. LOL
Destroit
OHMAN. It took me until I was 23 to learn how to put on eyeliner acceptably. NO WAY. LOL On your eyebrows or your eyes? I don't even use real eyeliner on my eyes, I use eyeshadow only. It's easier to work with, easier to blend, and looks better (i.e. more matte than ultra-gloss, so it actually looks blacker than eyeliner)
Mzdeadlyspell
Chernobyl WOW Thanks, that is a great help! I have been drawing them on now occasionally, and have found that when the tattoos still had a shadow, I did fine. Now the tattoos are gone, it is difficult. I am taking your advice though and going to do the three point system. Usually I wore them pointy for a while, and liked them. But at this point it seems the round ones fit my face more. I had such thick eyebrows, then got tattoos and then lasered tat removal. The thing is I am not sure my eyebrows will ever grow back on, since the laser kind of left some scarring. Not a lot but looks like some hairs might be missing when I finally grow the eyebrows back. Tonight I will practice the three dot method. That would be cool if you had a demo, with pictures. But heck this helped a great deal. THANK YOU

Basically, unless I'm on a date, doing something really special, or going to a job interview or the club or something. Daily life no. I'll break out like crazy and really was pretty lucky in the skin tone department.
Homicidalheathen
My kid draws hers on and swears by this: Maybelline Expert Eyes Twin Brow & Eye Pencil in the blackest black.....noir black or something like that.... But first she went and got waxed real high and thin as a guide line......and she just follows that.
