Looking For A Few Good Readers......

I want to start a small list of folks (maybe like a discussion-style list?) that I can air my fiction to.

I'm looking for constructive criticism, not butt kissing. (Although it *would* be nice to hear how wonderful I am on occasion... Just not the purpose of this project.)

I'm looking to do this so I can tighten up my writing, get opinions and light editing suggestions. I also want to see if from a serious reader's point of view any of it's readable and likeable.

I'll really only need a few people. My requirements:

Be serious about taking a little bit of time to read what I send you. It'll be in small chunks as I go, but If you respond, you need to have a little bit of time to take to actually read it.

Anything I send is MINE. You can't share it with others without permission, and if you steal it, IT'S AT YOUR MORTAL PERIL.

So, the little group listie thingie is to read my stuff, give me honest feedback, suggestions if needed, and maybe if it turns into a multiperson discussion, that's cool too.

Right now, I have only little bits of stuff. But as I work on my novel, I'll keep sending updates. It'll start slow.

So.... really only looking for a few folks. Most of the material will be genre related to horror, mystery, cop-drama, sci-fi, or that sort of thing. This might keep my current momentum up, too.

If interested, post a little bit of something here. I want to get a few people coming from different viewpoints, with perhaps varying degrees of literacy.

EDIT: I will PM folks asking for email addys after I get a few responses. I'll probably wait til I have a few responses (if i get any) before PMing folks.

I would love to help you out, as I love to read a good story, hell, I crave reading, but I am not a worthy critic at this time. Too much jumbled up in my brain to focus.

I do hope to get an autographed copy of your first novel anyway, though!
