We have two "poop cats" in the house.

Ripley, our eldest black female, will mewl pitifully at the door if Jon doesn't open it for her, and yes, she will sit in his lap as he does his thing. She only does this with him. And this definitely ties in with the thread going on about guys spending eons in the bathroom reading.

Fletcher, well, he's not so much interested in the fact that I'm sitting on the throne. It's just that he's a major Mama's boy, and doesn't like having a door between me and him. He'll meow, complain and scratch at the door non-stop if I don't let him in.

By the way, Fletcher also taught himself how to pee in the toilet at the last apartment we lived in. It freaked the living shit out of me when I realized the "pouring water" noise I'd been hearing now and then was him doing #1 in the toilet. He did it regularly.

We've been in this place since March of last year. And only in the past few weeks did I catch him doing it here.

I wish ALL of them would do this. The money and nastiness it would save me from having to maintain litterboxes.

... Hannah, Wilson... I dont follow u to ur litter box to watch u go potty... so why do u feel the need to follow me?? Do you guys have some kinda of bathroom fetish that I didnt know cats could have?? what is it?? 'cos its driving me nuts!

Actually cats find every cold spot on the floor they can stand on so when you sit down in the bathroom they can jump into your lap with ice cold paws.

OMG - if I could get them to do that AND #2 in the toilet, I'd never have to change the litter box again!! LOL

I actually have one cat that's always about 2 steps away from hopping in the shower with people. she's always peeking her head throught the curtain and as soon as you get out she's rubbing your legs and demanding to be pet... she loves water but the tub is still a bit too much for her...

and another cat... who's never been right in the head since she's been born... seems to have a fool proof radar for when you're taking a crap... every bloody time as soon as i'd sit down i'll hear her take off from wherever like a bat out of hell and run in and wait for you to flush... then she'll watch the poo spin down like it's the 8th wonder of the world....

fucking cats... but i love em
