Falstaff
So, I just got the best birthday gift ever. Anyone ever see the movie "Beerfest"?? The Broken Lizard movie, not the shitty Artie Lange's Beer League one. Anyhow, the movie had beer boots. I just got a 2 liter beer boot. Yeah. Bask in my glory. Yum. That's 2 liters of whiskey and coke....... Actually, there's a question here...does anyone else have one? Just wondering....I looked EVERYWHERE last year, and every dealer was out, including the online ones....
Destroit
O...M...F...G...WANT! That's amazing, not only it that the most manly thing to drink out of ever, it's also good for TWO liters of alcohol infused liquid. I've never actually seen one anything like that in real life What a crazy gift.
Fierce Critter
I haven't seen the beer boot. But I was at Value City Department Store the other day, and they had this super-long beer glass that you have to set in a wooden cradle to keep upright. It was pretty cool. BAD HEAD WRECK. No seriously, why do they call it a yard glass if it's over in Europe? That's so backwards, us Americans are supposed to be the measurement rebels
Head Wreck
measurment rebels? you had a decimised currency before we did. guinnies crowns shillings pennys farthings and bits. and we begrudgingly went metric with europe just a few years ago alcohol is still by the pint, milk is sold in pints but with litre markings. just fuel is metric, but we travel by the mile thats what being a rebel is, mix n match
Falstaff
The beer boots are a traditional German thing, right? Seem to recall seeing pix in a cookbook or something years ago... I think so. I know my dad used to brag about having a few when he was stationed in Germany. I guess they used to mess with people and not tell them to drink with the toe facing down. When the toe is facing upward, a bubble builds up...when enough is drank so the bubble escapes the toe, it sends a shitload of liquid rushing at the drinker. Good times. Fierce Critter
Yeah, that picture is pretty much what the thing at Value City looks like. Kind of an interesting find at a cheezy department store.
