If I have missed anything, feel free to add it and others, if that describes you, too, please say so.

I'm trying to get an idea of how many people in the world (well, those on DGN anyway ;) ) work a full-time job, and also spend a TON of time outside of their job "working" on something else like school, or a budding art/music career, etc.

Feel free to add how you feel about all that, too. About how you MAKE time to do what you really love, how you leave work at work, even if you work MANY hours, and still work at your real passion, be it painting, medical school, etc.

Thank you very much.

I work full time let alone will be working part time as well,I want to go back to school for CNC machining training,I only support 3ppl ,me myself, and I,I will not ever live with anyone that is a leach,a lazyass,or a "poor me type"been there, done that.i will only help someone that is trying to help themselves, when I do go back to school, working a full time, and a partime job will be worth it.

I'm still in school full-time but I don't work at a job. With four little ones, that is a job in of itself, I just don't get monetarily paid from it. But I do have income. As soon as my school gets done and my 3 year old gets into school (two more years to go for him) I'll be going to work again.

category three....is me.

and its difficult.

all the bacon brought home is mine, and to be honest its not enough bacon, it takes a lot of bacon to sustain insurance for two people, home insurance, car insurances, mortagages, cats, dogs, utilities, gas, life....taks alot.

at the same time I council struggling couples, teach a tuesday night bible based marriage restoration class, go to a wendsday nite group at church to help equip me to handle the class that i teach responsibly. that whoops me.

I'm a secular rock cover band, im workign on a 2nd one with some pals, and Im trying to write and accquire what I need to record my own album this year.

so to do these thigns....we're simplifying.

I have a 4 bedroom home on an acre that is too much house and sucks too much resources, both financially and physically. Were letting it go, downsizing. Im only gogin to teach one semester this year at church so that I have some re coup time (dealing with strugglign couples is exhausting beleive me). And i may be leaving Power Source for good - to make time for my own ideas.

you have to simplify to get back to quality of life.....that, and you have to bust ass. My alarm clock (literally) goes off at 4:30 am. I have to get to bed by 10 am or Im wrecked.

I now HAVE to get a full time job since I won't be getting grant money this semester. It kinda sucks because I really do like it here :cry but then again I'll have WAAAY more money. I'm thinking clerical again because I have a lot of experience and there's almost always good jobs for it (and ones that pay good too).

I probably won't be going to school this semester, but that's not to say I'm quitting or anything, I might take one class online.

I have massive hobbies. It's one reason sometimes I fall behind in school.

I work full time, I support myself. I went to school, thinking about grad school (this is always in my mind). I've been told I do a lot, and I'm really never home, but honestly, don't know what takes up all my time. Too many of life's activities. *shrugs*

10 years ago I made it work. College full time, work 30 hours a week, plus theatre and activities and still found time to party. These days I've just got a job to worry about and it's hard to find time to do the laundry. It seems the more I have going on, the more efficiently I do everything and the more I get done. I've gotten lazy in my old age.

That's a very interesting insight. Good info. Thanks!
