Yes, from what I hear it's always the same "oh I'll call you" but then you just see the guy around on DGN and he doesn't even mention it like it never happened. I mean, can you say awkward? A) I'm impressed that you found that out so quickly, unless you knew it off hand which is more impressive. She was the last amazon queen, actually, and was killed at the hands of a man who fell in love with her the moment he was killing her in war (but it was obviously too late).

B) I know this off hand because Penthesilea was my original DGN screenname, I had it maybe 4-6 months and then asked Troy to make me into Chernobyl (a costly surgical operation, good thing he's a professional!). This happened waaaaaaaay before you came on DGN.

I called The Eternal weird for A) Remembering such a minute detail and B) Bringing it up very randomly and in a very odd instance to do so.

I changed it from Penthesilea to Chernobyl because it's easier to say Chernobyl (also easier to spell, even though most of you peeps are now calling me Cher or Cherny) and I figured Chernobyl was obsolete enough for most people our age to not know about. Believe it or not, I was right about that, most people have no clue was Chernobyl means (that I've spoken with) unless they were alive when it happened. I associate more with Chernobyl also, because it's very VERY near and dear to my heart, favorite place in the world outside of Detroit. Also, aside from biology, radiation is where most of my scientific knowledge lies, I'm both fascinated and afraid of it, and green, yellow, and black are among my fav. color combinations.

So Chernobyl won and Penthesilea disappeared, only to become a DGN myth and fade into urban legend.

I am not surprised that people younger than Chernobyl don't know about it, but it's a shame. Ask a young person where Iowa is and they wouldn't be able to pick it out in a map, including some people who live in Iowa. *shakes head*
