Will Need A Roommate / Apartment

I am losing my room mates in March so I will be in the market for either a room mate in Southfield, or a roommate somewhere else, or a CHEAP apartment somewhere not too far from Southfield.

I have a cat. I cannot live with dogs or ferrets or someone with a drug or employment problem. I'm really a very clean person and expect that public areas would be kept that way. I have a full living room of furniture but no TV. (Playstation 2 though! LOL)

My current apartment would be a smaller sized bedroom and equal use of the rest of the space, largish livingroom /dining area and 1 bath. It has basement storage room as well. Central air, dishwasher, lots of art on the walls. I really prefer a female but would tenatively consider a male. If you smoke, please smoke outside. I don't mind if you bring a cat. Cable internet and utilities included in rent for $350 a month.

I can pay up to $450 a month for a place if anyone has ideas on where to look for apartment. So far I'm really only finding places I can't afford.

Hmmm I'd say that condo that I was talking about in the DGN classifieds, yet I'm not sure if it would be on the market in March still (odds are someone will swoop it up because it's such a crazy good deal) and even with that in mind it's in Roseville, at least 25 minutes from Southfield.

Oh well, hope your search goes well anyway though!

I really am hesitant to buy anything right now. My credit and debt load are just getting better or I would jump on that condo. I'd rent it gladly and reliably though.

*Bump* Still looking.

I wish I could help somehow. I am trying to get rid of our apartment so we could move into a house. I just can't stand renting and throwing my money away anymore. That and hearing the neighbors stomp around the apartment upstairs.

What about going in on that condo with someone else? I wouldnt mind having a roommate. I just recently moved...but to share that condo with someone would only be like 200 a month. If you would like to talk about it maybe, send a PM my way.

I wish I could RENT that condo! bLOL I refuse to buy anything in MI right now. Things are just going down the shitter a bit too much for me to tie myself to this state with real estate I might not be able to sell.

My landlord put my place up for sale. Not likely it'll sell soon but I might entertain the notion of a roomie next place I go. That's all I got for now.

That's scary! Wow. I need something pretty soon though. If it happens soon, let me know.

I don't know how far out you want to go, but I know of at least two apartment complexes down the street from me that take cats where a 1 bedroom is in the 400-450 per month.

It takes me less than 30 minutes to get to work in Southfield.

I might be looking for a bigger place temporarily. Are these places fairly decent? I'm not staying in Michigan (no I haven't changed my mind on that), but I'd like to keep an apartment back here so I can spend time with my daughter when I come back and have a place for her to stay.

The area where I live in is safe, and clean. As far as I can tell it's cheap because it's far out. The 1 bedroom apartment I live in is a little more, but I really have no complaints about it, other than just having to drive a little further to see my friends. PM me if you want more info.
