I Hate My Job!

Work in IT fixing computers, software troubleshooting, web application interfaces and other types of troubleshooting. Love what I do and thankful to have a job, especially this one, but I hate all of the office politics, supervisor's lacking the necessary leadership skills, lazy coworkers with a less than appealing work ethic and stupid people asking stupid questions.

there is quite a lot of things that I don't like about my job, but the paycheck makes those things bearable.

And to those out there who hate their job, hey at least you Have a job to bitch about. I'm sure you all know about the unemployment rate out there, highest in the nation. I don't mean to take the wind out of this thread. However, I think its the lesser of two evils to sit and bitch about our jobs rather then sit and worry about where our next meal is coming from or how the bills are gonna get paid.

Overall, I love my job. There are things that I hate though. I am a RN in a CCU. Some days I love the 12 hour shifts and some days, it's just way too much. I hate how after a 3 day stretch it takes me 1 and 1/2 days to recover because I am both physically and emotionally exhausted. I hate seeing people get discharged before they have everything they need, because they don't have insurance. I hate seeing what people will put their loved ones through because they are not willing to let go, and then I hate feeling like that. I hate how our incompetent management treats people. I hate having to tell the loved ones, things are worse today and there is really no hope. I hate when the doctors won't give me what I think the patient needs. I hate the patients that come in for you to fix them, won't do what they need to to get better, treat you like shit, and go home to fuck themselves up again, knowing you will be there to fix them. Geesh, that's a lot.

But really, I do love my job. It can be so rewarding, financially and emotionally. Is there a love your job thread?

I just hate the idea that most places will not pay what you are worth and refuse to up your wage according to the cost of living, which is high nation wide,no matter how many years of experience, they still want to pay you below the cost of living, thats why your better off having your own business, evn though it has its downsides too, just not as many, you also can dictate your wage.

I dont know about what you do but my paycheck is in no way a good trade off. I do agree about what you said about having a job, but I hate most that for the time being I am stuck at this job with no way out yet. Love your job or hate it everybody has to vent, it helps take the edge off. You didnt take the wind out, everybodys got an opinion and i'm glad you posted it.

They have high schoolish cliques in machine shops too?? Gawd I thought at least a place like that was safe. Its too loud to talk much....and well you know.

That sucks. Its worse in sales though I am sure.....its like they pit you against each other.....like dogs in a fight pen.

oh no, its bad...backstabing, name calling, gossip, you name it I probably deal with it everyday. Hell i'm the boss's #1 black sheep (no pun intended  ), you wouldnt beleave some of the stuff he and his ass kissers have tride to pull on me alone.
