Marmee_Noir
I tend to re-vamp most my clothes, hack them, hell even spray paint some. So I tend to buy cheaper stuff, incase I fudge up the loss isn't so great. But I do own gap jeans, Urban decay heels, tommy perfume, chanel make up and junk so heh... And I have an absolute addiction to wool sweaters, gap, tommy, polo, mecca... etc... It just really depends on the specific item if I deem it good enough to dish out the cash for it. nilhil_glory
if i dont support it i wont wear it hence why most of my shirts are plain, band, dickies workshirts or hockey jersys that ive aquired as for boots as long as they suit me and ive got nifty little shoes that light up when i walk
TygerLili
I wear what I like, if that happens to something by Alexander McQueen or something that doesn't even have a label on it from thriifting I DON'T care. Saying you refuse to buy clothes because they are made by a label is just as pretentious as saying you won't buy anything but something horrible expensive from a label. Well said, Meg! Sometimes in this sub-culture people are trying so hard to reject "the norm" that they don't seem to get that they sound just as snobby and annoying as the people they are dissing. It's the same with music and film and literature. If you don't like something, no one's forcing you to buy it. Jeez!
Miranda
I'm definitely not a " label whore" but I like nice clothes. It just would depend on the item, in my opinion. I do know a few people who only shop labels.
freydis
i dont like labels, but i am often drawn to certain companies' products.... i like sketchers because i have bone spurs on my heels, and sketchers feel nice and hold up well. i like docs because they make an awesome flat-soled boot. i lust after urban decay makeup......SPARKLY! OOOH! heh i only like labels insofar as they bring a certain guarantee of quality. The labels themselves.... meh. But then, i dont really dig stuff that puts *huge* labels on their crap anyway.....heh
pomba gira
If it's something I really like & it fits well, and I can get it for a reasonable price, I don't really care who made it... BUT I won't wear anything with logos plastered all over it. Why the hell should I do someone's advertising for them- and PAY them for the privilege of doing so? The only "status" label I buy consistently is Apple Bottoms jeans, and that's 'cos they FIT so amazingly well... it's not easy to find jeans that fit and flatter an extra-curvy, short-waisted African descended figure. I'd have a lot more if not for my absolute horror of paying full retail for anything. Oops, I lied... I have a pair of cherry velvet Baby Phat pants w/the kitty logo embossed all over them. But you can't really tell that's what it is unless you look real close! I'm not a big fat hypocrite, really!
kiokosushiflower
I personally like Baby Phat purses but the clothes tend to be to flashy. I agree I don't want to walk around like a billboard either.
Jordan
As long as what I am looking at looks good on me I dont really care. I dont wear anything that has the label listed on it .
AstralCrux
I don't mind if my Godiva chocolate drinks have a logo on the cup... They're yummy.... Oh, clothes... I think its kinda spiffy to get brand name stuff at salvation army.
creatureofthenyte
I don't care about labels as long as the clothing looks good, fits and lasts along time, and isn't astronomically priced.
jynxxxedangel
If I see anything that says "Steve Madden" in a thrift store, it's MINE. I love his shoe and purse styles. Same goes for Mossimo. It's one of the few brands of jeans that fit me perfectly, and I like their shoes, too.
headlessgoth
people have always tried to label me this or that so labels fucking suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TheOsakaKoneko
I wouldn't buy something just because it's from a certain designer, but there are some designers I buy a lot of because I love their stuff. But in my fashion you basically only have the choices of 1, name-brand from Japan, 2, made by an independent seamstress/creator/commissioner, 3, make it yourself. I do a lot of #1, and a lot of #3, and a lot of backwards #2 for other people. I love my brand stuff, but I also love my homemade stuff. ...I used to be able to say I would never buy something just because someone made it, until I encountered Vivienne Westwood. Now I'm dying for a bag from her, but I can't afford the one I really want. Damn. I don't like clothes that really advertise the name, like written in big letters across it. Though I do have some things like that. Things that you can tell who they are by if you are a knowledgeable fan I see no problem. Oh, I'm so hypocritical and confused! pheramoans
I WOULD buy something from a larger label, but not if the brand name is [supposed to be] the most alluring thing about the item. If I really like something & it's quality clothing i'm not going to shun it because it's from a label. Although, I HATE label whores - you all know what I mean. Those girls [most are girls, anyhow] that carry Louis Vuitton purses just to show that they can afford such a thing - those things are like billboards with the logos plastered all over the outside! That said, when I have the money I DO really enjoy Coach purses, however of the 2 I have the logo isn't prevalent on the outside of the bags - one is plain brown, and has a simple 'c' on the zipper pull, and the other is black with a pattern to it, with no logo on the outside. They're just very well made purses and I like the style of them.

I never got the appeal of the Louise Vutton ones that just say LV all over them. They just looked icky to me.
