Fashion Violations

i rather enjoyed having long hair with an equal length fringe in an office. but step outside on a windy day and i could not see for the hair. being blow out of its place and where it naturally wants to go.

not so much as a fasion crime (could be technically) but the fauxhawk.

its awfull. but yet usefull..... as every person i've dealt with who has one has been an utter knobbend. more often than not you can smell the teenage bullshit from 5 yards off

..yeah...hawk it OR NOT.

(18years in a hawk meself.) ;) {or an interesting variation of}

(edit to add) Brenda...it is oK...it IS a girl haircut...

LOVE them

I'm just curious as to whom made a LOT of you fashion critics. Could you please share your credentials. I think ANYTHING ICP is hideous, as is that so-called band. But I'm not going to complain. You wear what you like. I'll be sure to wear one of my scarves next time. With skinny jeans and boots. It's not EMO or scene kid. It's fucking rock and roll.

I ROCK capri pants, mainly denim ones. With stilettos. I also rock the shit out of holey jeans. I grew up pretty fucking poor. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that it's all in HOW it's worn. No way in Hell will I EVER pay a lot of money for them. My skinny jeans were originally $145. But, they were a gift. And I wasn't saying No.

I agree with the whole fingernail thing. GROSS.

I won't even go there. Most of this comment is DEEPLY offensive.

Christ, people. There is not ONE person here who is a fashion plate. Look for me. I'll be in ALL the most offensive gear.

Ugh.

:bravo:bravo:bravo Majority of folks here are in NO position to even be mocking others' fashion senses or faux-paus. And, yeah, tight/stretch jeans have been around for a long time;what made these people think that it's a recent emo thing? Damn straight, Brenda, it's fucking rock n' roll - Johnny Thunders,Joey Ramone,Brian James,Stiv Bators,Sid Vicious, etc.

BTW, you in offensive gear? I don't think so. :wink

Wigger and gangsta fashion needs to go,quit acting like your were born in the D

and go back home to your rich northern Macomb/Oakland county trash suburbs where you belong,

being a fake and being someone you are not got old the day it started.(fakeism)

they need to stop pushing their fake crap on everyone, grow up and be your effing self for once

you'll get more respect that way,LOL!!

I grew up in the D and you would not last long.LOL!!

all my friends that are black hate wiggers anyway,LOL!!

One that really bothers me is when people wear white shirts with stains on them, or wear dress clothes and don't bother to iron them.

As for people's critiques: WHO CARES!

We all have stuff that we think doesn't look good, and I'm sure if everyone wrote out a full list there wouldn't be any two that totally matched.

People have mentioned a few things that I wear in here. Fine, they don't like it, no need for me to get defensive. I like wearing micro-mini dresses over jeans. It's kind of a preppy look, so I wouldn't expect the majority here to like it. I wear flip-flops in the summer, just not anywhere "nice." I don't own uggs or crocs, but I wouldn't be opposed to trying either, because when it comes to footwear, I firmly believe in comfort over style. I wear black or white sneakers pretty much any time I'm not getting all dressed up, and that includes with black pants or khakis. Does that look stylish? Probably not, but I really don't care. You couldn't pay me enough to wear stillettos or platforms on a daily basis.

And there are a ton of things I don't like. I don't like faux hawks, I don't like pompadours, I don't like bangs covering up the eyes, I don't like hair parted so far to the side that it looks like it's growing out your ear, I don't like half-faded pink, purple, blue or green hair. I don't like fuzzy boots, I don't like stripey tights, I don't like bondage style pants, I don't like tight, colored jeans, I don't like goggles, I don't like dog collars, I don't like boots with spikes on them.

But there's nothing inherently wrong with any of these, just doesn't fit with my personal taste. Do you care?

No...I don't care because the way you describe it you will not say or do anything to a person wearing anything you don't like. Well, unless it is somehow affecting you in a very negative way.

My only problem is that, in Madison, I get shit for wearing bondage pants, skinny jeans, torn jackets, spikes, tall boots, anything like that. The local skinhead group gives my shit every single time I go to a concert in their area, which is alot. They say that my skinny jeans are gay and that they spikes on my jacket are placed in random order and it looks stupid.

We have way too many fashions today that have been around a long time yet get a bad rap when some other group steals it. Emo kids have ruined alot of things. Emo kids ruined skinny jeans. Preppy kids stole the mohawk and killed it with the faux-hawk, which is actually ok on girls. One thing that I feel that I am allowed to do is point the bad fashion finger at people to rape a fashion to fit their lifestyle.

My personal taste is usually jeans, work boots, blank t-shirts, and a black hoodie. I don't really care about fashion but when I am not going to class the hawk is up and I am dressed for a Cock Sparrer concert.

You made a great statement on personal taste but there are going to be a few times when someone screws up a fashion. I have seen many people take the personal taste thing to the max...like the max where they are almost trying to get you to say something.

People who think that just because it's not in the negative temperatures that they should dress like they are going to the beach annoy me.

Driving home yesterday I passed 2 girls in short-sleeved T-shirts, shorts and flip flops. I can see ditching the coats and stuff, but there's still snow on the ground! How many of these people will have pneumonia next week?
