DGN Coffee house...

I flew Northwest when I came to Detroit. I was originally supposed to fly home on the 5:24 flight, but got an earlier one. Checkout was at noon, and I wouldn't have had a whole lot to do for 5 hours. I'm trying to figure out when I should arrive and leave this time around. I just like it to be as simple as possible.

Well. I'm not off work until 7pm (we are eastern time zone, like you) and it'd take me maybe a half hour to forty five minutes to get to the airport, from there...unless I can get the day off (this is all assuming you fly in on a Friday). If say..8pm is too late for you maybe you'll someone else can grab you and we can meet for dinner and a drink around 8, that night...

As far as going back, and If you are going back on a Sunday, I will have all day, you can leave whenever you want, we can shop or whatever until your flight, I'll take you around with who ever and that...it takes about 35-40 minutes to get to metro from my place. -If you leave on a Monday (which is fine) and I can't get the day off (again) then you'll have to get a ride to your flight from someone else.

It'll definitely be that Friday, and I'm sure that I can find a late flight. I don't expect you to take the day off on my account. I would go home on a Sunday. I just looked up the flights on Northwest, and they don't do Detroit City. It looks like my only option is DTW. Not that it's a bad thing. It's a nice airport. I got lost in it last time, though! It was really funny. Why the Hell do they put baggage claim all the way at the other end of the airport?!

Isn't it crazy? Yeah, it's huge and it used to be so samll and shitty. I remember flying in, having stopped at like 2 other cities along the way and noticing how nice their air ports were and then getting to Detroit and they had buckets all over the floor to catch the rain leaking in from the roof and thinking "oh, shit! Is this really where I live?".

But I think that with the expansion all commercial flights must've moved to Metro, from City-which is news to me, too (if that's true), but it's fine with me driving to metro.

Okay, as long as it's good for you. I'm not a big fan of inconveniencing people. I'm not booking it until late August, anyway. I do look forward to this trip. I hope it'll be more relaxed than the last one. I had a great time last time, but I'm looking for this trip not be nearly as hectic! I still want to go to Mephisto's and CC, though. And your favorite thrift store. I promise I won't tell a soul where it is!

I can't imagine how I'd be inconveinienced, at all. This will be fun. There are more laid back activities, here, like the art museum or shopping and lunch in Windsor. Remind me to take you by the Heidelberg project, too. -That only takes a few minutes.

It's as laid back as you want it-but you know you are a rock star, so...
