DGN Coffee house...

I have made a MAJOR observation since I've moved to MI: An awful lot of Michiganders CANNOT spell and have NO clue what grammar and punctuation are. Seriously. Did they go to school?? Did they PASS?? If you can't spell something, ask me. For the love of GOD, ask me. And don't feed me the bullshit "my keys stick" line. When you throw extra letters into a word, it's not sticky keys, it's a lack of education. And, if it's drugs, PUT THE BONG DOWN.

Fuckin'-a.....

A lot of us were either raised out in the country or in the ghetto. My hick education got me through college. Wows!

That's not an excuse. You went to school, right? You chose not to be lazy, which got you through college. I know a LOT of people who were raised in the country or the ghetto, yet have these amazing skills!

I just wonder where the parents are when it comes to their children's education. I'm all up in my teens' business with their education. And, I'm getting tired.

As you should be. The problem with kids these days is the lack of parents actually parenting.

Education wise concerning myself. C & D student in my school years by choice, A & B student in my college years (I'm the first in my family to go to college!) by choice. I like to think of myself as quite educated, cultured and worldly. I must be if I wish to be a writer. I must use proper spelling, yes its a pet peeve of mine, and proper grammar.

I do slack off grammar wise at times and I will sound like a snob for saying this. When you work in a hick town factory everyday and associate yourself with hicks and the uneducated, it starts to rub off on you.
