You're Too Fat To Eat Here!

Fine. If they're going to do this, then I insist that before a pack of cigarettes are sold to anyone, they're forced to undergo complete physicals including every test possible you can do to lungs & the heart.

I have never been a big fan of places like McDonald's. Especially not after I TOOK THE FUCKING TIME to get on their website and look up the "nutrition" (using that term suuuuuuuuuuuuuuper loosely) in their food. GADS.

Man that's against my constitutional rights to my "pursuit of happiness" WTF???!?!

Food doesn't make me happy, but I'd sometimes like to think that it may.

This also goes against capitalism. I can't see ANY restaurants going for this. Do something else more for the people, give them maybe less of a strain on their medical expenses if they're not morbidly obese, non smoking, where the average person could SEE the expenses going out. Pinch someone's pocketbook, and they listen.

EDUCATE people on what's healthy portion sizes, and what's not. You'd be surprised at how many people don't know.

OR maybe give more sanctions to people who are trying to live a healthier lifestyle. Say, cover HEALTHY weight loss programs in their health insurance plans.

Make sure that Doctors make their patients aware of this on thier health insurance premiums. Although, I've got to admit, doctors aren't there to cure anyone, they just want to keep you coming so that they can take more of your money.

It's a sad sad world we live in.

I can't imagine them actually passing this or actually enforcing it either.

I do wish there were more healthy choices out there though. In most cities and towns there are really no ways to get something healthy if you are in a hurry unless you like salads, but that isn't enough to satisfy. Healthy drive through food would be a wonderful thing if we had that choice.

The portion sizes are insane too. Normally they serve enough on one plate to feed 3 people. I end up taking mine home usually, but I'd much rather just get enough for one meal and be done with it.

If they want to pass legislature to help people loose weight, how about a bill that forces restaurants to serve foods with lower fat content, or to serve smaller portions.

All this would do is hurt restaurant sales, and probably drive obese people with low self-esteem to eat more. Many people turn to binge eating when they feel bad about themselves. Being told "I'm sorry, you're BMI is too high, we can't serve you" would probably be depressing enough to send a person home to polish off a pint of ice cream.

Besides, how would they enforce this? Would restaurants have to weigh and measure everyone who looks like they're carrying a couple extra pounds before they seat them?

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
