Anyone Need A Roomate?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to get an apartment by myself around Wayne county, but I'm not sure if I can secure it by April 1st.

My lease is up April 1st. After that, I'm screwed. So, needless to say I'm stressing out big time, not knowing if I am even going to have a roof over my head...

But, if anyone has a wheelchair accessible room and won't charge over 300$ please message me!! I will be bring the cable with me, that's internet, cable box and phone.I will put my computer some place accessible if you don't have one yourself...

*grabs a hammer and starts knocking down walls*

damn the tiny rooms, and stairs!!

 aside from having a total crush on you  , i really wish i could help. too bad our computer room is full of other junk, and our doors are SO small.. and our stairs are, well, stairs.... heh...

good luck, dude. i mean that... i know what its like to be worried about all your stuff, and if you are going to have a roof over your head (been there, done that, unfortunately, i lost EVERYTHING before i got the roof). Hoping and praying to whatever higher power there may or may not be that that does not happen to you.

Keep us posted!!

i know, and it blows. i think that when ppl are designing apartments, or any house, for that matter, they forget that some ppl's legs are large and wheel shaped.... someone posted a while ago, wanting a roommate, but i believe that they were in the same position that you are in. They lack the roof over the head.... you know? So why Wayne county? that's quite a ways away from where you live now.... (hence the me not spending more drunken nights trying to recover, on your couch)

You would think I'd have better luck finding a more accessible apartment...

You know, I think all but one of the apartments Morbid Suicide and I looked at when we were apartment hunting had at least 2 or 3 steps to the entrance, even the ones that were on the ground floor or had a decent elevator. I don't get it.

I personally like having to climb those stairs because it helps me keep active, but I have a close friend who is in a wheelchair, and where I live now we'd have to carry her up a whole mess of stairs, even if I did live on the ground floor. I wish they had some kind of handicapped entrace.

I would take ya in for a few days, but my apt. is very tiny and you would have almost no privacy, unless you wanted to sleep in my closet (which is packed with lots of stuff, but thought of once putting my computer in there, it's THAT big. except for the fact that it has no plugs in it..hehe) It's not handicap accessible either, well two steps up to get in and stuff.

I'm really surprised that most things aren't ADA compliant when it comes to apartments, I'm sure there are some units in my complex.

I have thought about getting a roomie, because I was thinking how I could save so much money a month if I could share expenses with someone, BUT I like being able to come and go as I please, and also able to have whoever over when I want, and clean at 3:00 a.m. or move furniture and stuff.

I do miss the fun stuff like always having someone around to go grocery shopping with, and talking to, and watching movies and stuff with, and other things, but *shrugs* I'll live.

Sorry DBK *Hugs* good luck hon. :)
