Health Insurance Curiousity

I was just thinking.

If some sort of government run healthcare comes about, what will happen to the health insurance that companies in the private sector have now ?

More specifically, the company I work for, pays for my health insurance, and if we go to universal healthcare, that money that they shell out now for my insurance, would/could that go into my paycheck instead ?

Anyone have any ideas or insight on this ?????

god i "love" this country, take a good idea like universal health care, and find a way to fuck the middle class to make something worse than we already have. Now if they did it the RIGHT way, universal health care would fucking rule..

but hey this is the real world, only in fairy tales are rulers fair to the common people.

I don't think that it will go into anyone's paychecks. However, those that pay high monthly premiums will benefit from more money.

I am very against the universal healthcare though. They need to have something that is affordable for everyone.

Hillary has flat out said she would.

Um, show me a country it's working in? France? Breat Britian? Canada?

In the UK... people wait for hours in ambulances for hours to get into the ER. Anything urgent must be seen within 4 hours of coming off the Ambulance... but the ERs are flooded with people... so the people wait till it slows down enoough to take them in.. and then wait somemore...

People are leaving the UK, Canada and France in growing numbers and going elsewhere for major surgerys because the waiting lists are so long.

Fewer and fewer people are becoming doctors there... because it doesn't pay enough to warrant the hassle of what it takes to become a Doctor.

What exactly is the "right way"? People all over the world would like that answer.

That she would garnish your wages. Her plan only covers people who can not affored to pay for private health insurance. If you can afford it (She decides that, not you) and you opt not to get it.. he plan is to give it to you anyway and garnish your wages.

Well then it's a good thing that she is takin a major asswhoopin in the primaries now then.
