My Stinky Ferret Daughter Is The Best.

This is my stinker, Clementine. We adopted her in August last year.

About a month ago she got insanely sick. They ran test after test, X-rays, blood work. You name it, she got it. So I spent all this money for them to basicly tell me that they had no idea what was wrong with her.

They sent me home with a bag of fluids and a syringe and made it clear they thought she was going to die. =(

I nursed her back to health and she is back to her old self, sniffing around, stealing socks, nibbling feet and begging for Cherrios.

I heart her so much.

She is my furry, stinky, ferret child. =)

If i get another pet... I'm very much considering a ferret. Glad yours is doing well, again.

You should. They truly rule!!! Adopt from Motor City Ferrets, Nanci is trully awesome ( the lady that runs it) and her little furries are well loved and taken care of, they just need permenent mommy's and daddy's.

aww makes me miss my fuzzies!

Im glad she's better though!

As for the vet, make sure that the vet you go to is versed in the care of ferrets. They actually are still considered an exotic pet.

As a side not, they can catch the flu from humans. They can easily become anemic. I dont have it anymore but a good thing to have on hand is a good recipe for "duck soup". It is very good with sick ferrets and giving them all they need when they're sick.

Awwww, kawaii! I'm so glad she's better! Sometimes intensive supportive care is the best thing you can do.

I love ferrets but the Pussy Posse would never tolerate the competition.

Sick pets suck... Josh & I spent the weekend before last nursing Linnea the leopard gecko. Feeding her some sick-herp stuff with a syringe, cleaning her little mouth & eyes with cotton swabs... she seems to be recovering now but we were major worried for a bit there. I'm glad you had the time to nurse your little sweetie back to health!

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
