Separation Of Church And State

Recommended Posts

Shouldn't it really be about our voice anyways? I mean really. If you're a God-fearing person you can accept that some rules and laws are necessary. Why can't an athiest feel the same way?

I mean really. It's not like they're dumb. They just question something that a lot of us question sometimes.

Are you even sure if you are a Christian? Do you believe in text books and fairy tales and following a Church like some lame blind sheep, or do you really know?

I mean Faith in itself dictates that if you really don't know, maybe you should find out instead of blindly believing in anything.

If you don't have the facts, you're just part of the problem.

People who talk too much about things they don't know about.

Often give the wrong information.

This often leads to laws that are not fair for all people.

Selfishness.

Greed.

And some motherfucker somehow justifying all of it.

Sorry but laws against abortion and homosexuality just really don't belong in government.

God didn't give us the Holy Spirit to condemn everyone else with it.

Or to judge people without pulling the planks out of our own eyes.

If you have shit to say about someone.

Maybe you shouldn't do it yourself.

I think this just makes sense.

No matter what you believe.

I think we have a problem here too.

I think the Catholic religion got it wrong in the beginning by mixing politics and opinions with the facts as presented to us.

That's kinda lame.

I mean really, how hard is it to figure out what kind of person Jesus was.

Knowing this, how hard is it to figure out that even if he is make believe he's really not that bad of a role model.

I'm not asking you who to choose as a role model. I have quite a few myself.

All I'm saying is that politics don't belong in the Church.

Neither do people who think they had a calling because they got sick of jacking off in their despair and wanted to believe that something in the universe loved them. This isn't faith. It's just sexual frustration that's taken out on little boys with a little bit of commentary that is completely ripped off from people thousands of years ago.

I mean sure I've heard some inspirational shit in my life. Televangelists are amazing when they're trying to milk the kingdom of God for all that it's worth.

Personally, I'd be more impressed with a televangelist that worked for free going door to door shooting film for his TV show. At least then he'd not be doing exactly what Christ told him not to do ("selling the kingdom of God"), I wouldn't be pissed, God wouldn't be pissed, Christ wouldn't be pissed, and anyone who can relate with the slap in the face that this is just might feel a little better.

It's so sad.

That 2000 years later.

We still suck this bad.

Sorry. There I go again about more dorky stuff like standing up for yourself, your morals, your freedom, your ideas, etc.

I mean damn. That's some square shit eh? I try like hell to be nice to people when I'm this angry and it takes all the patience in the world not to do something stupid.

I just wish I felt like other people actually TRIED (NOT WHEN IT'S EASY) when they were really pissed off.

Some of you would be pretty upset if I punched your Mom or Dad in the face.

Likewise, I'm a bit annoyed by all the jeers and what not.

I'm sure he'll take care of it either way.

It's just kind of disappointing.

Seeing the level of appreciation people have.

I guess God did nothing for anyone ever. Just me right?

Give me a fucking break.

I think the problem with the seperation of Church and state is a lot of politicians on the church side see a moral obligation to govern what they feel is right and wrong with our own personal doings (as it relates to our body)

They are morally obligated on behalf of their religion to do so

I dont think the government has the obligation nor authority to tell us what we do to our own bodies

the government was not established to be for moral policing

and for it to start doing so is utter bs

and a lot of people into faith believe they have an obligation to set standerds based on what we should or shouldnt be able to do with our body, where others say as it is such ( our own individual body)

That i belive is a major conflicting problem..

Moral Obligation to other people became extinct when people received the Holy Spirit. They're just money makers bro. If you've read the Bible you should know what I'm talking about, but if not do a little search on the Spirit and how no man requires instruction now.

Claiming otherwise, is kinda like calling God a liar, and spitting on the Son that died for us to have this Spirit in the first place. Politics man. Politics.

well kinda ... i think some people whom dont think like that or dont get that particular message will go out and say they are morally obligated say ie; to stop you from drinking

becouse you as an individual do not understand its a sin, so they go dig up facts and state why drinking hurts the country overall to get their goal acheived

it also kind of ties into what sect of christianity the view point is coming from (i think)

certain sects are known to be more tied into moral policing than others

You only have to look at history to see what happens when religion takes over government.

"Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's." Matthew 22:21

or you can look at modern day places like China to see what happens when Government takes over religion....

- good quote by the way.

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
