Movies of significance are, but not limited too:

Saving Private Ryan (The most realistic combat film ever.)

Schindler's List (Made me cry)

The Audition (it's a Japanese subtitled film that still makes me writhe in my seat)

American History X (Social studies regarding prejudice all ground up into one nice, neat lil pagkage)

I forgot to add The Green Mile in my original list. That is one movie that I will never tire of watching. The first time that I saw it my eyes were just plastered on the screen.

I saw the movie The Wicker Man last night. It was a movie that I don't think that I will ever forget. It was a good movie, but a disturbing movie at the same time. It was the remake with Nicholas Cage in it.

Another movie that I will NEVER be able to watch again because it affected me THAT much was The Hills Have Eyes(the remake). It was well done, but it was SO disturbing to me that I would never be able to bring myself to ever watch it again. It blew my mind, but NOT in a good way, whatsoever.

Guest Megalicious

though I have not seen Control.

=) It's really good! I'm not a HUGE Joy Division fan, but I like them. The movie was insanely shot, edited in with live footage that they have ( here are the young men and substance). Even if you not a big JD fan, its great.

Farewell My Concubine

Boondock Saints

Carnival of Souls

Bucket of Blood

Cabinet of Dr. Caligari

Being John Malkovich

Clockwork Orange

Tommy

The Last Emperor

The Wall

Quills

Metropolis

Titus

Pulp Fiction

Hamlet (Kenneth Brannaugh version)

Eyes Without a Face

Each time I watch any one of these movies (some I've watched hundreds of times) I find something new that amazes me.

i am really amazed at all the movies listed here! when i was trying to think of ONE movie that "blew my mind" i couldn't come up with any. apparently no movies ever blow my mind.

but i will say of all the movies listed here (and granted, TONS were listed i have never even seen/heard of) i will say:

butterfly effect

lord of the rings

the shining

were definately interesting for various reasons and "did something" for me, if not "blow my mind".

A Nightmare On Elm Street.

I was younger when I first saw it. Yes, I snuck it on the TV when nobody was around. When I was first introduced to the diabolical maniac I had no idea what a child molesting, sandman who kills you in the dream realm, was all about until I saw the first one. Even though the gore was fake, I commend the fact that Wes Craven had a vision of portraying Freddy as a sadistic killer, seeking revenge on the parents who burned him.
