Destroit
Hiii there! I saw that you just signed up and was going to start a welcome topic for ya...but you beat me to it! Naw, there's nothing you need to do on DGN except post! You can customize your profile by clicking on "My Controls" near the top, which you can customize your avatar, signature, profile picture, information, gallery pictures, etc. But moreover what makes DGN so fun is posting and chatting all day We have several forums that can all be accessed from the main page of this site, everything from news, to random chatting, sex & sexuality, to gothic fashion/beauty. In order to check out events (we DO meet in real life, that's what makes this place so cool is that you're not talking to random people across the country that you'll never meet) there's a "Nightlife, Concerts, and Events" forum, so you can always click over there to see what events are coming up. Everything from house parties, club nights, concert...hell even bowling! If ya get stuck then you can ask moderators for help (I'm one of which, there's 11 in all), so don't be shy! Hell, even if you get lonely and wanna chat, us mods are friendly and love that sort of thing. Oh...one last thing (after I just practically typed a novel ) there's a little questionaire that we let all members have the opportunity to fill out. You don't have to answer any of the questions in it that you don't want to, but we encourage you answer as much as you feel comfortable with just so we can get to know a little bit about you. Speaking of which, here it comes! DUCK! *drum roll* The DGN (welcome) Questions 2.1 ™ ©Formerly the "S.D.G.N.W.Q.P.S." The Standard Detroit Gothic . Net Welcome Questions Polls and Suggestions 1.7b Feel free to ignore anything you feel uncomfortable sharing, dont have the energy for or have covered already. We are just friendly, if a bit nosey. And we ask these same questions fairly often as you may have noticed. Current location? Where from? Gender? Work? School? Kids? Married? Single? Hobbies? How Did You Find DGN? Other Stuff? Additional ideas / questions: Add yourself to the DGN member map! If you live close enough, are old enough (18+ for City Club) and/or are ever in town you may want to check out: "DGN Night" Or you can find out about other events near your area with the The Events Calender Some folk also enjoy our random pot of: Quizzes & Polls ! How did you hear about DGN? Poll And we can always use help finding new friendly people. Help us out and drag em on over! So just jump in, start clicking around, and posting. If you get stuck just message a mod and we'll help you.

alaska sunrise
Welcome Hey I'm Polish too! Can you speak the language? I can speak bits and pieces of it......here's a lil bit of our country heritance in case you dont know...and for the rest of you.....some extra facts:)Poland (Polish: Polska), officially the Republic of Poland (Polish: Rzeczpospolita Polska), is a country in Central Europe. It is bordered by Germany to the west, the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the south, Ukraine and Belarus to the east, and the Baltic Sea, Lithuania, and Russia (in the form of the Kaliningrad Oblast exclave) to the north. It also shares a maritime border with Denmark and Sweden. The total area of territory of Poland is 322,575 sq km [1] (124,547 sq mi; but area of administrative units is 312,863 sq km) making it the 69th largest country in the world with population over 38.5 million people concentrated mainly in large cities, including the first capital of Poland, Cracow (Polish: Kraków), and present capital, Warsaw (Polish: Warszawa). The first Polish state was born in 966. Poland became a kingdom in 1025, and in 1569 it cemented a long association with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania by uniting to form the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Commonwealth ceased to exist between 1772 and 1795. The Poles were without a state for next 123 years. Poland regained its independence in 1918 after World War I but lost it again in World War II, emerging several years later as a communist country within the Eastern Bloc under control of the former Soviet Union. In 1989 it threw off the communist yoke and became what is informally known as the "Third Polish Republic". Today, as the 6th most populated member state of the European Union, Poland is a liberal democracy made up of sixteen voivodeships (Polish: województwo). Poland is also a member of NATO, the United Nations, and the World Trade Organization.

Troy Spiral (13)
Welcome to the place. One thing about "the scene" is that probably 95+% of the people you'd never recognize as "Gothic" walking down the street, Its more of a mindset of interests, or openness or even just people that wouldn't even remotely consider themselves Gothic, they just like the bias toward reading/open to less "traditional" ideas and such. Theres closed minded people in every walk of life, they just seem to be less common among people that are willing to identify with a so-called "out" group. Really pretty much is fairly normal, just with a bias toward , but not exclusive too, certain types of movies/books and such. More of asocial club/network than anything else. DGN in particularly tries to be a relatively friendly place, and tries to shoo away the negative personalities that populate much of the internet Gothic or not. Defiantly no need to be Gothic or from Detroit to be on DGN, just friendly. cheers, -Troy
