I can't believe that. Those two girls where beautiful. I can see the whole "disobeying their father", because in Iraq, the fathers/man/husband of the household do that.

I remember seeing a woman who had acid poured on her face because when she was a teenager, she showed the lower have of her face from her face wrap, *can't remember the nameo of the wrap at the moment* to a young man by acident.

Her father found it to be a "disgrace to the family" and held her down, and poured battery acid on her cheeks. Shortly after she was pretty much sold into marrage. Maybe it was just the way her Husband acted, but he seemed nice to us, and he lets her uncover her face. It took her 10 years to recover from it.

Still, here in America, that's the most discusting thing I've read in awhile. I just can't believe that someone could do that do their own flesh and blood.

A few months back there was a guy who during an argument with his wife threw their toddler off a balcony of a hotel from quite a few stories up....then a couple months ago there was this guy who dropped all 4 of his kids off a bridge into a river after fighting with his wife.

It's a disgrace and a absolute shame that these youngs lives have ended, and at the hands of their own father makes it that much more disturbing. There is nothing my daughter could ever do that would bring me to kill her, even if she were trying to kill me.

I should know better than to ever to look in a thread like this. Especially since my daughter was born. You'd think I'd learn. Most social animals, like wolves or monkeys, kill their brethren who develop mental illnesses like this. Too bad we are enlightened.

damn... this is a crap thread.. reminds me of my best friend from childhood.. he had a really rough life too. He was killed and then dumped in a river when I was still fresh in the marines. Me and alot of new friends I had that knew him all talked about the situation and how is dad reacted at the funeral. There was also a major investigation against his dad.. we all know he did it.. but it was never proven. To this day I hope i never see that shell of a man... needless to say, he's been outcasted by the entire family and has no ties to anyone anymore... he's dissapeared, and we all know why.

This is very unsettling. Everyday it seems, there is another murder somewhere and they are just getting worse and worse. The fact that their father killed them just makes the situation that much more horrid.

I can't even imagine what was going through those girls' heads when their father did this to them and wondering why he was doing it to begin with.

This honor killing bullshit needs to stop.

Although it's another reason I encourage the war, I would normally not say this about ANY ethnicity in the world but I hope we westernize them. Fully and totally westernize them, their views on women are wrong and need to stop. That aspect of their culture (along with Islam extremests) needs to be wiped entirely off the map and forgotten about.

I don't mean get rid of the muslim religion...just change it. I know plenty of arabic people who would NEVER consider living like that, but they're from America, which is what I meant by "westernize". Make so over there they're living like the Muslims over here (the majority of Muslims).

I find it unsettling that someone that extreme would move here to raise kids knowing exactly how our culture works ahead of time. I mean yeah the girls were wearing American style clothes...they were raised in AMERICA. I mean, how big of a dumbass do you have to be to not be able to put two and two together. He should have stayed where they came from with his daughters if he didn't want our customs to rub off on them.
