Some people will be bringing children and I'm going to try to group the best I can the people with families away from the singles/couples.

If you have a family and want to share a lot you can, if you don't want to share a lot though it's going to end up being a little more.

The "per person weekend total" was based on if you have four people (adults) on your lot splitting costs. It still won't be MASSIVELY expensive or anything if it's just like two adults on a lot, but will cost a little more.

So everyone save up! I mean, even if you don't split a lot with anyone else it would still figure out to be a DAMN cheap vacation, and fun for your kids

So...for a specific break-down on pricing:

ONE adult on a lot....... $46 for the weekend

TWO adults on a lot..... $23 for the weekend (per person)

THREE adults on a lot....$15 for the weekend (per person)

FOUR adults on a lot......$11 for the weekend (per person)

So let's say hypothetically, that you're one adult with two children (the children are free obviously) and wanted to cut costs you could possibly have someone you know from DGN be on your lot with their own tent, making it two adults and bringing YOUR weekend cost down to $23. If cost is really a big issue that is. Obviously if you wish you can have a lot to yourself and your kids if you're willing to pay for it.

Parking is $6 a day, so you're looking at $12 to park for the weekend. I'm sure parking you pay when you get there and don't need to pre-pay me that money, I'll double check just to make absolute sure.

So if you're set on staying by yourself and are bringing your car for two days you're looking at a grand total of $58 dollars, which for a family vacation, to reiterate again, is DAMN CHEAP.

As an update, to anyone concerned about safety in the forest, we've got TWO CC bouncers, one current and one former, coming along.

This means that if anyone gets rowdy they can escort them to the front of the campgrounds where they'll have to pay $6 to get back in .

Uggghhh...kinda mildly bad news, but it shouldn't be a terrible thing...

I went to make reservations today and when you do this it charges your credit card flat out instead of holding the charge until the trip, like I had originally thought.

There's still a bunch of spaces left in the campground, so that's good, but basically if you want a plat you should pay me ASAP!

I can't afford to just go and throw down like $276 on six lots at the moment (I was going to just reserve a chunk of six to start, but then found out the bad news about payment), so the faster you guys start paying me the sooner I can start making your reservations!

I'm sure even people who wait until the last minute will probably get a spot, but it might not be anywhere near us. Also, and this is probably a slim chance, but there is a possiblity of the camp running out of lots, so it's obviously first come first serve.

Like I've said before, if anyone has questions about paying me, PM me (also PM me if you need my address and are sending it in the mail).

I guess at this point I'm going to safely say everyone needs to prepay, I can't foot a bunch of money I don't have.

Well, technically about 20 people said they're 100% sure, but they just haven't paid yet. Sooo it won't be just us .

I'm guessing a few out of that 20 might back out (just by chance, it's bound to happen), but between now and July we might get more people who want to go. I doubt all 20 will drop the trip, that would just be messed up .

Stymie....I wasn't being serious....I would NEVER do anything to corrupt kids....in that matter....now if I can "corrupt them" musically....well then yeah...you might wanna shoot me now....cuz I have no problem introducing children to Alice Cooper, MM, and Tomahawk...hell...I actually used to get one newborn to fall asleep to "Rock is Dead" by Marilyn Manson....his dad hated that, but couldn't figure out how I got him to sleep to it.

I promise that I'll be on "angel" mode around the kids....but as for the rest of you adults....if you wake up with a fear of spiders and your tent wrapped in plastic wrap....I swear that it may not have been me....but I can't promise that.

Yeah for the record, most DGN events are children friendly unless specified otherwise.

The only thing that may be questionable is that we do consume beers but are encouraged to do so responsibly. At an event like this if you know that you're not that good with holding your liquor, we just encourage you to not drink. Kinda like attending a picnic.

We're just a bunch of kidders around here, if I didn't think it was safe for children to go not only would I have said so but I wouldn't specifically invited families with children. I went out of my way to emphasize that it will be a family trip.

The only reason I'm trying to group the families with kids away from the couples/singles isn't for the sake of the children, actually, it's for the sake of the adults without children . Many of us, myself included, get a little worn down when kids are constantly around bouncing about, playing, and screaming like little kids do, and since it's supposed to be a vacation for all of us I figured it would be a good idea to kinda group family lots away from the other members. That's my rationale behind that reasoning.

I'm sure most of us know that we're going to be around kids there regardless, but the separation makes for better night time "hanging out" with campfires for the single/coupled adults without a bunch of kids around.

If you'd like to do a camping trip with just families, that's not a bad idea, but I'm only planning for this event. Anything like that would have to be handled by another DGN member.

That is frickin' awesome. I didn't think there were too many people other than myself who doesn't have a problem with exposing kids to "corrupt music." One of my nieces in particular probably loves MM more than me, and damn, that's saying a lot.

I agree with Cher... I am around kids all the time. I have a huge family with lots of small cousins, nephews, and nieces. I also work full time at a few different elementary schools. I love kids so much because they're way cooler than adults, but sometimes it's nice to take a break from their constant energy and noise. I think Cher has done a perfect job of organizing a family friendly camping trip, but she has also taken the comfort of the families AND childless campers into consideration. Honestly, I think it's a win-win situation for all!
