just as i suspected....if indeed there is too much rain for the trip , we will just rescedule for next weekend.....no worries......;0

I'll be going this weekend rain or shine because I can't reschedule...

So I hope the storms blow over.

ummm what most of you don't know about cedar point weather if a storm hits in the morning the wacky weather will return yoi be hit by the same storm throughout the day storms when they do hit cedar point they circle the island and get stronger

I've never seen that in all my years of going down there. Usually if they do hit (usually they don't because of the way the pennisula is situated - usually it just blows right over and you may get heavy rain for a few minutes), they are over quick, pulled back out over Lake Erie and sent to Ontario or back up towards Michigan.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen. Weather is weird like that to begin with. I've just never seen it.

Naw, I wasn't gonna go to CC in the first place. I think spraining my wrist, scraping my nose, busting up my knees, and making a total ass out of myself once a month should be good enough :tongue:.

I concur. I've been going to CP since I was six and have never witnessed anything like that either. Storms generally blow over pretty quickly because it's an island, they don't get stuck and linger they just go right out into the lake. I think the longest I've seen a storm last at CP was like...MAYBE two hours.

I was there when the rapter was new.

This almost makes me laugh, just because they DO actually have a "Goth Day" at Disney Land in Cali every year...

Maybe we'll end up accidentally starting something like that for Cedar Point :laugh:.

Oh and btw, Raven and I are in, and we are totally NOT pussies! So if you're the only dare-devil in your group and everyone else you came with insists on hitting up the Iron Dragon for EIGHT hours straight...hit us up and come find us. We ride anything in the park (at least I do, he hasn't even gone since he was a little boy, and the last time I went was the second year the Dragster was rolling).

Ok so it looks like thaty are predicting a high chance of storms with doses of hail for saturday so in conclusion......we will rescedule our trip for the 12th of july which is a saturday.....and if somthing happens again then we will mabey go the 13th sunday.....but as of now our cedar point trip is cancelled......and our next date of departure will be july 12th..............We cant go on the 4th of july weekend because we are headed up north for some family fun....I know some of you may still go this saturday but we are not chanceing it....it's not worth it to drive.....are those miles/gas and then turn back around in case it actually does storm all day......once the sunny forecast is alive (hopefully the 12th or 13th) we will be going.....

I hope that Fin, Josie(turzaura) and stymie are still going with us......;)....Fin....pm me ur #.......and envious beautiful poppet, please change the topic title to reflect the 12th of july for our new date......

Oh and we will be at C.C. this saturday so party on......Fin....I must owe u a drink or three by now lol...........

Awww...that's real shitty. I'm going today, if anyone else can't reschedule also, I'll be there. I'm not gonna lie, not only is it pretty last minute to change the date (i.e. you might not get a big turn out on the 12th) but it's also the date of the Camping Trip. So I'll see you guys some other time.

I just got home after a long morning of driving through floods, but I just checked the online in park webcams and it looks like CP is open and rides are running right now. Looks pretty dry there at the moment.

It wsa VERY dry! Not a DROP of rain!

I had fun at well...DGN Cedar Point even though I'm the only DGNer that went :laugh:. I know they rescheduled for the 12th, but that's literally the weekend of the DGN Camping Trip, so we're all gonna be out in Brighton then.

SHORTEST lines I've seen in YEARS! I literally got to walk RIGHT on the Raptor. They had a record low in attendance so that literally NOBODY was there...Raven and I had just FREE REIGN on all the rides! I'm glad I went yesterday instead of waiting.

Oh...we also got a crowd going and a photographer going when Raven and I stepped into the arcade and found out...they have Dance Dance Revolution Supernova. Those kids watching us didn't even know what they were seein' 'cause I'm so damn fast :laugh:. So getting applause and pictures taken was pretty sweet.

Even though it was fun I was still pretty mad that I was the only one that showed up. Oh well...whatever, whatcha gonna do....

oh well....im glad you all had a good time.....we listened to the forecast and did as we thought was right...no regrets here....and hopefully some dgners make it out on the 12th weekend but if not....i have already two dgners that are in for sure anytime that we go and those two i know I'll have a blast with......

did u hear about the 17 year old boy who was decapitated yesterday at 6 flags in GA.....after walking underneath a rollercoaster to get his hat....hmmmmmm now there's a kid with no brain
