We hear from people all over Michigan, northern Ohio, and Ontario out of interest in our School of Herbal Studies, for programs, certification, individual classes, and Home Study, so we love to offer several Open Houses each year. Upcoming times:

Saturday February 16, 930 a.m. - 12 noon

(note time change from printed material mailed out)

Saturday March 22, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Sunday March 30, noon - 3

Timely announcement: although our office will close April 1-17,

we are taking registration for the programs and classes, and there is space in all of them at this time, although the work study program is filling quickly and much earlier this year. Please don't be put off if your telephone calls or e mails are not returned during this period- we will answer all messages quickly upon return. Meanwhile you are invited to print out a registration form from this site , or just wait until April 18 for a return to your call or message.

This web site has lots of information to answer questions as well.

We hope to chat with you soon.

Saturday April 26, 10:00-1230 we offer a Medicine

Wheel Planning Class, and you may also treat that

day as an Open House from 11-2 as staff will be on hand to greet you. Attending a class is also a good way to experience the energy of the school as you make decisions about your own future participation.

Sunday April 27, we offer a Wild Edibles class and nature walk from 10-12:30 and also offer this morning to offer , with staff, an Open House from

11:00 - 2. You are welcome to consider registering for the Wild Edibles class, or simply drop by for Open House time informally.

May 10, we have a free Herb Fair which is a good Open House opportunity to meet and greet. The time frame is 10-12. During this early spring time we offer seeds from our medicine wheel plants, plant starters, and herbal body and medicinal products from our apothecary including extracts, creams, sprays, herbal "stop smoking" blends, and more. Someone will be on hand to answer program questions and assist with registration.

It is also possible to drop by , by prearrangement, during the lunch hour of one of the 6 program weekends. Those dates are listed in our Classes and Programs section on this site- May through October. In that way you have an opportunity to see a bit of the program in progress , meet some of the current students, and look around.

An Open House is an opportunity to just drop by to meet and greet, look around, register for classes, pick up material, take a look at the grounds , ask questions, and have a cup of hot tea! You can come any time between the start time and up to 15 minutes before the Open House is scheduled to end. You do not have to stay for the whole time; it is an informal "drop in" set- up, with teachers and advanced students on hand to answer questions and show you around. You are welcome to bring family and friends.

We know our programs represent an investment of energy, time and money for each student, so we invite you to meet here at the school as a step on the way towards making your plans. We like to hear from each of you if you are coming- it helps to know how the day is shaping up- so do call at 734-769-7794. Call for address; we are located in the Scio Church Road /Parker Road vicinity of the west Ann Arbor area in the countryside.

If our Open House dates do not work for you, and you have a sincere interest in exploring your participation in our programs, we can speak with you about setting up an appointment to come by.
