I have to be careful with the health issues really. BUT, i'm going to make a best-effort to go. Hopefully i'll see many of you.

Jeremy (Slingerlandstyx) you better go *shakes fist*

I'll do my damnedest, sir. I had over $100 in overages on my phone bill this month that are making things tight, money-wise.

I'm going to make a conscious effort to get my ass to the DGN Corner (right of the bar) and plant myself in that general area between the pillar and the bench at least until 2. I'm up to about 8 people now over the course of the last few years saying how they showed up but couldn't find any DGNers. That is still "the dgn area" despite any rumors to the contrary or my random drunken suggestions that we might migrate that area to a different spot at some point. If no one else, I'll be there by myself (or not) just look for the way to tall ass guy that looks somewhat like that picture over there :mad::whistle:

(I never actually "picked" that area people just sort of mulled around there regularly over the years and it became "the dgn corner" by default)

Ouch. Well just tell them you have to get your priorities in order and their nagging bills come second! :p

it's been farrrr too long. i will try to make it out after my shift ends @work! can't wait to see/hear the changes/improvements i've heard rumor of.

Have we met before? I'm trying to put the name with a real-person but i'm failing. I'll be lurking in the "DGN Corner" (the area just to the right of the bar) until about last call if you want to come say hi. Plenty of other DGNers usually lurking around there as well. :yes

YES. :->

Always on the dancefloor; if someone sees me out there, pull me off & help me find the elusive & mysterious DGN corner!

Since you have to PASS the DGN corner to get to the dance floor, and its like, totally impossible to miss it... heh...

Random aside: I used to live on the dance floor pretty much from entrance to exit except for the trips to the bar and the bathroom. But slowly over time the social aspects of going out have overshadowed the dancing (and trying to talk over the music is fairly difficult) so now i usually haunt the less-noisy areas and venture out to dance when there is a lull in the socialization or a particularly strong need to dance hits me during "prime time". Once people start punking out and going home i then (if i still have energy and am not otherwise engaged) end up spending most of the rest of the night dancing or at least thinking about dancing, depending on the health & heat.

Barring any catastrophic misfortunes, I should be there this weekend. I've already told others that I would, so I guess I have to put my money where my mouth is. :)

Hopefully I'll get to see a good number of all of you!

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.

    • ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.
