I have a few of them but the one on my chest is the only one that I actually care about.

On 10/27/10 my cousin and my brothers girlfriend were killed in an accident.

My family has 5 males, myself, my brother and 3 cousins. 4 of them all about the same age then me being older. I always looked out for them, helped raise them, taught them how to fight, taught them to live, took them under my wing because we were in the ghetto and I knew they were in for a tough life. We all became each others closest friends over our lifetime, turning to each other for everything.

My cousin, one of the 5 - was killed on his motorcycle while giving my brothers GF a ride. A van made an illegal left turn in front of him and there wasn't anything he could do. He was killed instantly and she was thrown down Ecorse Road and died a short time later.

That night, we decided to get inked but couldn't figure out what to get. My cousin (Engine here on DGN) suggested that we all get a roman numeral 5 over our hearts. So, we went out that night to a tattoo shop. Though it was due to close in 15 minutes, when we told the guy why we were there - he told us that he rode himself and is an officer of a M/C. He said he knew what we were going through, that he had just lost someone himself not all that long ago. So, he turned the sign to "closed" and spent the next 3 hours putting memorial ink on each of us.

After that, my V is the only piece of ink on my body that actually matters to me anymore.

Acquired my first tattoo yesterday, thanks to LoTek from DGN at his shop Lucky Devil in Shelby Township. He did an amazing job on it. Took about 3 hours and I'll be going back for a touch-up in a month.

The phrase says "Fearless on my breath" from the Massive Attack song "Teardrop".

"Always" in a green, cursive font horizontal on my left forearm [directly under my elbow's inside]. It's a quote from the seventh Harry Potter book.

and my first tattoo, lyrics by my favorite band, Brand New, from their song Tautou.

Hey I love tattoo's and the culture around them, i'm so happy they are becoming more accepted. I have an ankh on my arm it's my frist tattoo I ever got done and I love it so much, but I'd like to get a quarter sleeve done around it with an Egyptian theme, and go from there. To me tattoo's are very spiritual.

How big is it? I have only heard of artist splitting up tattoo work like that when its a big piece.

it covers most of my right upper arm but i needed to leave for a wedding reception so she dident have the time she needed.

I don't have any tattoos yet. I've been thinking about it though. For me, it would have to be something that means something significant to me. I thought about getting the Krav Maga symbol tattooed but I'm still not sure if I want to or not.

Only have one to my name. It was a Friday the 13th thirteen dolla special. Tribal design of two bird-like objects and a heart in the center void. Originally intended for a tramp-stamp I am sure, but I had my own ideas where I wanted it; It has its home on the diagonal flesh seam of my lower left abdomen.

I am getting this one enhanced in the coming monthes. The artist drilled me too hard on the lower side, and most of the ink bled out  . I want it to become an intricate pendant with a carnelian stone where the heart lies. Besides minor planning for the pendant design, I just need to figure out where I should get this done.

So, who is the most awesome artist out there, I ask.
