Tats should be well thought out.

People should pick a piece, then get comfortable with it for a bit.

Don't be hasty, consider the end result of a permanent mark.

I have several, and I do not regret even one.

That's only because I made an educated decision.

I have 5.

1. One band around my life upper arm.

2. One quarter sleeve flames on my right arm.

3. My sons name.

4. The begin outline of the Dali's "The Burning giraffe" on my upper right arm.

5. Is a link like phrase in french on my collar bone.

Though I kind of regret the arm band on my left arm its just do to choice of style. It's good quality and doesnt look crappy. Its just me at 16 not 26 =) Everything else I adore.

I have what looks like only 4, but it's really 7. One peice is 3 combined.

I have an armband *that I drew*, "tramp stamp" *which I drew, and is the 3 in 1*, a HUGE Bettie Page on my side, and a Lego heart above my lady part.

I'm going to start drawing some again. I might do that soon. I have a friend at school and her BF does inking. Yay!

WOW Where do I start.....

a pentacle, center chest with an off center chaos-sphere and 7 sigels around it, nothing at the apex

a Phonecian 'A' on my belly

about 10 on my L forearm that will be 1

...an ankh...'Libra'...goat head(self portrait)...a small green dragon

...an arm strap with a rainbow raven's feather...and some 'unfinished buisiness'

L hand

...knuckle runes

...Cho Roh

...thee all seeing eye crying 3 tears of blood

L wrist...DCCLXXVII

L arm...a big blue ribbon...the QBL...an all black flag...'A' for anarchist

L leg...alpha in omega... 418... 93...a banner that sais 'REVERENCE'...

a pink dot... psykik-kross... a mural of a solitary ritual

...and the Crux De'Moley(unfinished)

a rook on my R calf/shin...(get a sitting on that soon as I 'get my balls back)

ONLY REGRET THAT THE BLACK FLAG DIDN'T WORK OUT RIGHT (I could not see well out of the corner of my eye, so I had the wife work on it, I was not specific enough and the Black Flag bars from the ink and needle experement of my 17th year got covered.)

AND, I can't wait to have my face done a bit, (not enough of that around)

I DID MOST OF IT MYSELF, (98%)

TALK AT ME I TALK BACK

I have none because I am too indecisive. I want ... I just can't decide WHAT I want.

My brother's best friend is a tattoo artist. He is COVERED with mostly his own work ... he's also used my brother for practice ... so he's covered. :)

i have a grand total of 3 (technically 4, but one blends right into the other)

a cobra going around a sword on the back of my neck, connected to an original tribal piece that spreads across my shoulders

a single flame on the right side of my right leg going down (it's faded, i need to get it touched up)

the outline of the Crow symbol in flames, with the words Beyond Forever around it, and the initials of my dearly departed

do i regret these? no. will i? probably not.

  • 4 weeks later...

I'm going to be getting my first tattoo soon, so I'm a little nervous. I know it hurts when done in an area with little fat. Mine is going to be placed in the same area as this one:

wantthisaq8.jpg

And no, before people ask, this is NOT my tattoo. I'm just showing WHERE I plan on having mine placed.

Do any of you tatoo veterans have any advice for a "tatoo virgin?"

:thanks:

Well my 1st tatto was on my back(9 chinese symbols) so it didn't hurt that much.. just try to relax and make sure that your comftrable with your tatto artist, other than that really after ur done with ur 1st tatto, you will say " What thats it ?" ^_^ . Good luck and make sure that when you get that tattoo it's what you wanted, that's how you have no regrets ..

    • ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.

    • I'm glad  that yesterday's day at work is long gone now. There was a very strong unusual energy that I felt, and couldn't get done with the day fast enough. It wasn't  the job at all. I just felt like I really needed to keep my mouth shut, to keep me from getting in situation(s) that probably wouldn't have ended well for me.
    • You can trust anyone you want.  The only question is whether or not they're deserving of that trust. No risk = no reward.  As such you have to let yourself be vulnerable sometimes and realize that all people will let you down eventually whether it's intentional or not.  The frequency that it happens is what's important.
    • Sorry, I don't check this as often as I should. Anyway document everything (although it sounds like @Trene4000already has been from her post.) It's okay to cry and break down, but not in front of them.  Never give them the satisfaction of seeing you crack.  If anything I'd go out of my way to piss them off, but I don't like being that guy either (and as such I'm not very good at it, except sometimes when I'm not intending to be.) I try to only help those whom deserve it, but that's often hard to judge.  Seeing how someone treats other people is a pretty good indicator of whether or not they're worthy.  Sociopathic narcissistic asshats are very much not worthy. I hope things are going well for you guys.
