Got a question.

How do you view trust? I view trust as either I trust you or I don't. There is no in between. I don't believe that you can trust someone a little bit. That just doesn't make sense to me.

What do you guys think?

Can you trust one person more than another person?

it depends some people are trustable with different things, you lend someone some money and they dont ever pay you back, yet you can trust they always be there, coming up with excuses.

now not trusting someone without any info on them is more how much you trust other people. most dont trust others with anything unless they have given something without selfish gain enough

to trust you must first be trustworthy or the whole thing crumbles.

if your in my inner circle, then I trust you.

If my gut tells me you are untrustworthy, you never get into my inner circle, trust me on that one (pun intended).

PS - here is the conflict: sometimes you must place trust in an untrustworthy person to bring them across the gap to a trustworthy place....(speaking for myself)

I think that it is possible to trust one person more than another. When you build relationships or friendships with people you learn if they're trustworthy or not. Sometimes, past experiences will jade you and you'll doubt whether you can trust people or not .. but I think that in your gut, you just know.

I think that if you have to question if you trust a person or not the answer is clearly that you don't trust them or you don't have enough knowledge of them to trust them.

Due to unfortunate past circumstances...

Trust is something you have to earn, and it takes more than an army for me to trust most, what kills me is when you say you don't trust someone, you automatically are on their hate list, like I said before you have to earn it,trust is not just handed out.

this is not directed at my true friends, but it will apply to relatives as well(ones that I have never met)

For me, trust has to be earned. Once my trust is broken (and it doesn't take a whole lot), it takes work for me to trust that person again.

There are some people that I trust more than others because they've proven to be trustworthy or untrustworthy. There are certain things that I trust some people with but not others.

Everyone is different. You can't apply the same exact rule to everyone. That just sets things up for disaster (in my opinion).

There are some people that seem untrustworthy right off the bat, and there's a good chance that I will never trust them unless I am proven wrong. Unfortunately, I'm stubborn, so it takes a lot to change my mind.

The pretend to be friends bullshit does not work on me,which is why I despise most ppl, that crap is so fucktarded, the minute I sense that bs I tell them to get the f&*& away from me,all so common in this country its sickening.

90% of the time I just get up and leave quickly to avoid drama and they won't see me for the rest of the night,LOL!!

And brownies!

People are Animals, only semi-evolved. Animals are survivors, they do what they must to keep on keepin on. We screw up on a regular basis, sometimes intentionally, most of the time probably not so much.

Trust should be fluid, give when needed, temporarily take back when necessary.

I accept that All people are equal parts good and bad. It's what makes us so interesting. I can't control people, I can only control my reaction to what they do to me.

I initially trust almost everyone, and pay close attention to my intuitive bullshit-ometer. Once someone violates my boundaries/trust more than a couple of times it's probably time to sever that tie. But we all deserve a second, third and sometimes 4th chance depending on the indiscretion committed I think. Otherwise not one of us would have any long term friends in the end.

Also, keeping a general stash of love in your heart helps me to deal with the bad things that happen in life. If I went around immediately distrusting and being suspicious of everyone I'd be a miserable wreck. Love takes courage, but if you approach life from that stance you're far more likely to have a better one in my opinion.

I'm not sure I agree with you on this Jad. There are lots of people I trust to return a book to me I may lend them, fewer whom I would trust to borrow my jeep, but not many of those whom I would trust to watch my daughter. I think their can be varying degrees of trust, often proprotional to the value of the object which is being entrusted.

i believe in many levels of trust not just "i trust you or i don't"

i know there are people i can trust to be there for me, i know there are people i can trust to keep their mouths shut when need be, i know there are people i can trust will always be up for going out on a friday ;)

as far as trusting someone "completely" i think there is only one person in this world i trust completely, with everything. everyone else just has various levels of my trust...

I agree with this point. I suppose that different people in my life I trust differently now that I think about it. Thanks for all your input guys!

I think that trust is circumstantial and very few can be trusted with ANYTHING.

Like for instance....I have friends that I would trust with my money...my home...my cat...but not necessarily my boyfriend.

Or I have friends and family that I would trust with my boyfriend but not my money.
