Kit Kat P
You can blame him Sitting here Eyes settled beyond the window Lost in the light streaming through the leaves Calm air beckoning Trapped In a prison of metal, canvas and plastic My own creation Innocent looking desk Comfortable office chair Time lost Muscles quiver Soul cries Just beyond the window The day calls as the phone rings She knows the glamour will leave shortly after she does Sun setting as she drives home Chill dropping in on the evening Everything she is supposed to be Sits in that chair Everything she wants to be Lays beyond, out the door Her love, her freedom, her hearts desires Everyone is so proud of her She can hold her head high Her eyes slowly lose their personality Time passes Pieces of her lost in paper shuffle She drinks and laughs with friends Is there something they missed Thoughts gone before they develop The earth recognizes her Though her memories slowly fade And recede
