Tattoos, Piercings And Body Mods

What do your tattoos, piercings and mods represent to yourself? Do you use the same artist(s) to get your work done? I feel when we alter our bodies, there are specific reasons for doing so. When I had my tattoo done I was 24 and the one that I chose didn't come out as perfect as I wanted it to but I will say the symbolism was right on. I have since had it reworked and am going to make it larger and I have specific plans to add one more in the next year. I'm going to be tattooed by Tim Reid of Internal Expressions in Windsor. The tattoo that I have now is of two flowers with vines, one open rose and one closed tightly. It definitely represents both sides of my personality. I can be very outgoing but I also have that mysterious side that doesn't share much of who I am.

I agree to a point that tattoos should reflect who you are or a stage in your life but then there are just some tattoos that are just fun. They have no point except you like them.

Oddly enough, I keep thinking that I don't know how in the world I ended up with absolutely nothing tattooed on my body. None. I have gone SEVERAL times with my friends to get tattooed and pierced, have many friends who work in the tattoo/piercing industry, and still none. I love body art, I think some of it is EXTREMELY sexy, again another reason why I have no clue why I don't have any.

When people explain to me what theirs symbolizes, I think it's beautiful. *sighs* sorry, just wanted to say how much I love body art.. continue with your sexy tattoo talk.. heh

The tattoos that I will get are symbol of my love of my children and their creative nature.

My piercings are strictly aesthetic.
