I have been in 3 bands. NEVER have I had a guy ask me to quit because being on stage makes me popular and opens up sexual opporotunity.

(but I am careful who I marry)

My man let me go 3 cities away (well part of it was work, but some of it was play) for 2 days no questions asked.

Why the hell can't more people be like this???

If you don understand your partner, don't get married.

Do you know how many band mates I have lost JUST WHEN THINGS STARTED TO GET GOOD FOR US Because the ol lady of one of the band mates gets jealous and (get this) FORBIDS them to play live anymore.

One of the reason my heart isn't in my music as much these days is I have lost most of my ability to perform live because of health issues.

It kills me to just write and sing at home. Other musicians are like, well just do studio work. You know how much that hurts, common. Its just NOT THE SAME. And you know it.

I have NEVER (nor will I) put restrictions on my mans travel or gig time.

I understand a musicians heart......the need for this sort of fullfillment. (ya get empty feeling if you don't feed it)

Most of my men have been musicidans. No one else gets us! We are a quirky bunch to be sure.......hours spent alone writing and practicing.

NEWS FLASH!

Most talent isn't god given so much, as it is EARTH EARNED.

It takes hours a day practicing and writing alone its NOT magick. Yes, it is going to take away from time you spend with your hunny.

Duh.

I see these women fall in love with guys they think are cool cause they play well......THEN LET THEM PLAY DAMNIT!

I have NEVER made a play on a band member that was not single and/or ready for a relationship.

To get jealous of me, or girls he might meet in the bar...........Oh god you have no idea how stupid that is.

Anyway, I told my man to go join a band without me for now so he can keep playin live.

So, he finds this guy. He is PURRRfect.

They play so well together, I can honestly say he found someone who is as good as he is and as knowlegable and thats A FIRST.

They formed a band and had 3 gigs lined up...

They are making a cd, and I was about to post there first gig on here so ya could all go supportin'...

And now he just got this news.

Said awesome and wonderful guitar players wife forbids him to play out live anymore.

Not only is she killing his soul by doing this, she is denying the world his awesome HARD EARNED talent.

He is still going to spend just as much time if not MORE so practicing alone now, AS THATS ALL HE IS ALLOWED TO DO.........

Now, they have had some issues recently. Most cause by HER DRINKING. She got so bad she was even admitted to a mental institution. He took her back.

So I don't see how she can make these restrictions!

Seriously if their marriage lasts I will be surprised.

If its that he has fucked around on her with a groupie, well...he works in a rather public position...he has to leave the house SOMETIMES....opporotunity WILL present itself. Its not like the guitar is magick and casts a spell on people so they fuck you.

So they are looking for a new guitar player if anyone is interested, I am not trying to be rude but I doubt anyone on here is good enough to play with K.

Women can be such succubi sometimes, seriously. You have no idea how many of my good guy friends I've lost to succubus women in my life. For the answer, pretty much all of them except the ones that can't get a girl, and Raven, because I'm dating him because dating him was the only way to ensure that my best friend wouldn't have his life ruined by some girl. Most women really need to just not be childish and catty about everything, grow-up, and realize they aren't the center of the universe. We've come along way, but we still have a long way to go.

It isn't just women. That type of thing happens with men too.

So many women give up their art or music and what makes them unique when they marry or get into a committed relationship. I hate that. It doesn't have to be that way and women should not assume they have to give up their career or music or what makes them who they are.

I will miss Rachel ( Cruxshadows ex-violinist) terribly and hoping she decides to return, or at least do some studio work.

At least it looks like Rogue and Jessica won't be leaving any time soon, since they are now married to each other.

very similar when it comes to work,if the wife\husband have to work 50 to 60 hours a week oh well its my employer wanting this,and yes I know of a few issues where the wife or husband complained about about this.grow up its my job I dont make the decisions on how long I work
